  1. your truck is an example of why I have that big red print in my sig... :(
  2. just making a suggestion on a ring. :D couldn't find one on google with "Jeep" on it. :dunno:
  3. how could they mess up a ride?
  4. maybe, maybe not. I sure wouldn't pay 750 for it. and the engine is only one aspect. condition of the wiring, trans, etc are all important if you're swapping them to a different rig.
  5. They may not look "stout" to you, but I've never heard of anyone ripping a leaf spring off unless significant rust was involved. :dunno: but it sounds like you're looking to go with a 4 link out back. research, research, research! the specific geometry of a 4link will determine how it reacts when you hit the gas or power up a hill. get the numbers wrong and you'll be redoing it. :(
  6. aren't rangers spring over?

    Multitools

good ol' Super Leatherman for campin', and a Leatherman Juice is always with me. :D
  8. they got sent back. the correct order "should" be waiting for me when I get back in town in a week or so.
  9. are you installing buckets that don't have headrests?
  10. you might want to start a new topic for the new questions.
  11. or you haven't uploaded it on the web yet, you can email the photo and your screen name to comancheclub@hotmail.com and I can shrink and upload it for you.
  12. on my 88 the hood's rear seal leaked and the water trickled down inside and found a wire to travel along through the firewall where the factory seal was pretty well non-existant. I would sprinkle babypowder in there too.
  13. stupid tiny keyboard. :rotf:
  14. that is indeed the default. though I don't know if that was something that would have been reset or carried over. :dunno: should be easy enough to check the box in your settings and bring it back to normal.
  15. could be the windshield, could be one of the hoes in the firewall, could be a door seal. a trick I've used is to sprinkle baby powder around. the water will make trails through the powder and lead you back towards the source.
  16. probably more of a resto-mod. bring it back to new but with some improvements.

    Warning

we're just trying to show how nice of a guy you are. :D but seriously, only you (and mods) can see your own warning points.
  18. neoprene = still using my very first one from years ago foam = practically disposable didn't ask about acquiring the foam ones. couldn't think straight through my anger. and today I'll be mailing out all stickers and magnets that were in limbo waiting on the coozies (since I've got no idea when I might have the coozies).
  19. what you need to do depends entirely on how much lift you get. anything over 2-3" and you're going to need to look into brake lines, track bar, control arms, sway bar links, shocks, etc. whatever you do, if it turns out that you can use stock length control arms, I highly suggest dumping the stockers for some WJ arms. they are much beefier.
  20. Get a winter driver.
  21. oh... my... god... I don't think we're ever going to get these. I opened up the box to find the crappy foam coozies not the neoprene ones I ordered. now we start from scratch. again. there's no emoticon that properly expresses my rage...
  22. nothing is ever easy. but I'm heading out right now to go pick up our coozies. :D
  23. did you tell FF to check the spelling in that particular box?
