Dana 35 3.08 Diff Questions/help!
Pete M replied to starkizer's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
you can invent your own rod, or just leave it off. the neutral position for an empty bed is with the swing arm roughly parallel with the ground. If you leave it off, you'll need to affix the swing arm so that it stays in that position. -
yanking out bushes and trees is rough going in georgia thanks to that concrete-like soil. broke a chain a few years back at my sister's place yanking a shrub out. :ack:

Pulled My Carpet Out Today
Pete M replied to Southpaw26's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
the more likely cause is a leak. Our trucks are prone to them and the cause could be ANYTHING that could possibly leak. from the firewall, to the windshield, to the door seals, to the rear window. find the leak before putting the carpet back. -

Questions About Lifting The Rear Of My Truck

Dakota hose should be plenty. but I'd advise against blocks in the rear. Going SOA increases spring wrap. adding blocks to the mix makes it even worse. :( -
I Need More Wiggle Room... And An Updated Home

having the propane heater on full blast and still freezing my butt off is why I'll never not insulate. but it wasn't my garage at the time and I didn't have a vote. :fs1: Now the shelves are up, the bench is in, the garage is full of a decade's worth of stuff and I cringe at the very thought of moving it all to add insulation. :( -

now is the time to insulate! quick! before the walls become blocked by stuff  It's not that much more money or time if you do it soon. later on it becomes a real pain in the butt. (can you tell my garage never got insulation? :( ) -
would you like me to make that your avatar?

the bellhousings are not interchangeable. try to get a bellhousing from a 95+ AX-15 to get the external slave. don't forget that you'll need all the guts to that bellhousing, not just the housing.- 21 replies

breaking into your vehicle (lost keys)
Pete M replied to JeepcoMJ's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
How to break into almost any vehicle: buy a pack of quality wooden shims. get hammer or rock. pry upper corner of door apart just enough to get a couple shims in. keep adding more shims until you have enough room to stick in a coat hanger a strong rubber band taped to the end of the coat hanger can grab most door locks. other rigs will need the coat hanger bent to grab the door handle. you didn't hear any of that from me. :D
