  1. makes me wish I had held on to my mom's old yamaha :D nice work!
  2. if I remember right, 94-95 are the ones to look for.
  3. hard to beat the rodeo/passport rear 44. matches your waggy front in width and pattern and has disks and 4.30 gears. should easily be able to sell your MJ 44 and get one of these plus some cash in your pocket for new brakes on it. :D
  4. how are you accommodating the different rim patterns?
  5. gotcha. I assume you already know about the rodeo/passport rear axles?
  6. I'm running the ford radius arms and I wouldn't do it again. no love for the other ford axles? (80s 3/4ton 44/60 or superduty dana 50/60)
  7. even if someone had done the exact same thing, there's no telling the exact lift you will get because it all hinges on the condition of 25 year old leaves. only way to know for sure is to try. I'd wager about 3" depending on how many MJ leaves you use.
  8. that Comanche badge shows real dedication to the photoshopping illusion :D mostly though, the owner is a member here.

    ROLL TIDE!

daaaaaammmmmmnnnnn... State really fell on their face in that one  Tide defense is looking strong for going all the way.
  10. hey :D that's punny right there
  11. both your numbers are too high. :D I've recovered 3 sets from junkyards over the years for $30 a pair and the bushings have all been in great shape. car-part.com shows some as cheap as $50 for a pair in alabama. the pullapart near me sells trailing arms for $22 each with core charge.
  12. I wouldn't build it or buy it, but yes... I would wheel the heck out of it
  13. white rims look pretty good on a white XJ.
  14. it's been done. I don't think anyone here has done it to their Jeep, but there are probably vids on youtube. your fuel injection system needs to be up to snuff or you'll melt your pistons. gearing is your ticket to more power. your truck has a pathetic 3.07 ratio and that is really hampering your acceleration
  15. that blue truck is a digitally modified MJ. I promise. :D
  16. neat :D if that fits under a wrangler, it'll fit under an MJ.
  17. which gear ratio do you have? to me, rocker guards are more important than lift and I wish I had done them first. :( my truck has 5.5" lift and 33s and I still managed to smash them pretty good from a hill climb on a simple forest trail run.
  18. what he said. with an open diff and the cad unlocked, no power makes it to either front tire.
  19. very nice :D
  20. see, that one is easy to understand: "LOOK AT MEEEEE!!!!!!!!"
  21. feel free to start any thread ya like. don't need me for that. but I would write the statements as true facts with a big ol' NOT in the middle rather than a "false statement". eg: Dakota taillights are NOT the same as MJ lights.
  22. along with a completely new everything else inside and under the truck. :D
  23. there's certainly more poser to be had, especially if you bring over the EFI. :D just don't reuse the stock MJ carb if possible. that thing just plain sucks.
  24. an easier swap is the 3.4 from a camaro/firebird. it reuses all your exhaust/accessories/radiator/etc but is a superior engine inside (better quality parts, better oiling passages, better everything). plus the fuel injection system is pretty much stand-alone and can be swapped into the MJ fairly easily.
  25. there are a few conversion threads in the DIY forum. one of them might have the info you seek. http://comancheclub.com/topic/48710-diy-projects-writeups-master-search-index/
