  1. interesting idea. carbed MJs didn't have a pump in the tank so I'm not sure if the piece in the tank will accept one.
  2. can't wait!
  3. same with me, but I was using the TJ shifter so I expected it to be off.
  4. from what I've read about its reflector style, I doubt it'll focus that far away. but you will see everything inside that radius, whatever it might be. maybe bordering on xray vision
  5. you don't need to wipe it clean, just walk away. that way other people would see whatever you've posted on other forums. (assuming the firefox/chrome workarounds stay current)
  6. I seriously doubt they have a clue what they've got, but it'd possible for the ratios to be off since different LEDs put out different amounts of light per watt. better LEDs will use less power to obtain the same lumens. watts is just power suckage, lumens is the light output. I still say they are full of it. on the subject of lightbars, I went in with a couple more friends to buy my buddy a big honkin' light bar for his big honkin' f250. we went with a lower lumen claim (70k) but with a better lens claim (4d). still cheap as hell though (60 bucks and comes with wire harness). oh, and a couple small LED pods for bed/backup lights. I'm infinitely curious as to how the main bar would compare to the mini-sun you got. https://www.ebay.com/itm/4D-Curved-52inch-700W-LED-Work-Light-Bar-Combo-Offroad-Truck-SUV-4WD-Jeep-Wiring/192318049137
  7. it's a decent swap. in the projects forum you should be able to find the "Jim Oshel Edition" and, I beleive, "Black Betty" threads where the owners swapped in a 5.2
  8. gives me hope. anyone tried them? how much is "reduced". won't help the OP in this particular instance though. he'll still need those ones.
  9. I love the fixes shows the power of the people. but we can't trust that they will continue working. I'm sure photosuckit is trying to stop them. still not sure what this will cost us in the end but it shouldn't be that bad.
  10. oooo, that would suck. didnt' think of that. I like my dash to dim.
  11. oh wait, you wanted the turkey in the bed? dang my truck looked good back in the day! (in a low kb file of a pic taken from 50 ft)
  12. I would get the set with sockets are if the stock sockets won't work, use the new ones any opportunity to reduce the power load on the wires in an old jeep should be taken
  13. because in the world of Jeeps the most common reason for an engine feeling old and tired is owners that go with bigger tires without regearing. it is my go-to question each time. I've seen a stock 2.5Ls do burnouts with 38s. (I think that particular Jeep had 5.86s or some such thing)
  14. my buddy just bought a pair of these for his truck. putting one on either side mounted to the rear surface of the cab above the rear window. should work great as both bed lights as well as extra backup lights if needed. all of 11 bucks shipped.
  15. what size tires and what gears in your axles?
  16. haha I'm just a cheerleader at this point. I haven't coded since the bits were saved on floppys.
  17. care to guess how many unique photobucket images are currently on the comanche club? We're deep in the middle of trying to rescue what we can and, while this number will go down a bit as the procedure progresses, it is currently at 87,265. On our little Jeep site. just think of how many are images are lost on the bigger sites. how much information is just gone from the collective brain that is the internet. screw you photobucket
  18. how many lumens in the 3200 one?
  19. it needs to make a huge noise each time it turns on. maybe like the big notes in the movie Inception. something worthy of a death ray
  20. the WJ yeas, 99-04 have arms with a bend in them. should be a writeup in the link in my sig. if not, there should be. you'll need to get some alignment shims with them to cheat and make them "longer".
  21. what's the plan for powering that bad boy
  22. so I'm perusing the internet for a gift for a buddy and stumbled upon some unbelievably cheap (probably for good reason ) 52" triple row light bars for dirt cheap. I had no intention of clicking on it, let alone buying them, but one number stood out to me so I had to take a closer look... 2871W!! holy crap! seriously, how fast would that suck the battery out of his truck? So I thought maybe it's an exaggeration. I know that lumens-inflation is a real problem in this market. by the way, they are claiming over 400,000 lumens. thems a lot of blindyness.
  23. I've altered horbrod's post to reflect this new info.
