  1. the ground runs through a connector behind the rear tire. It's not as common an issue as the taillight but it's possible to get corrosion inside (lost my brake lights from that)
  2. where and how much rubbing? got pics?
  3. seems like a 6 tire rotation is just a 5 with an extra tire that steps in from the garage while another goes into the garage.
  4. holy crap! I can barely imagine losing my windshield in the highway
  5. someone will be catching video for those of us too far away, yes?
  6. a 20 year old tire is the perfect candidate for a permanent spare.
  7. those will be "used" though. Will is also in our classifieds under the name saveevryjp1998
  8. this here is a $700 shade thingie that bolts to your roof rack and unfolds.
  9. found these. they claim to have 30 different colors. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-1996-Jeep-Cherokee-4-Door-3-Point-Retractable-Seat-Belts-Black/163265164283?epid=15023924716&hash=item26035cb3fb%3Ag%3Ad5cAAOSw0iBboULJ&LH_ItemCondition=3
  10. they are in a lot more than you think. http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles.php?make=Jeep&model=Comanche&l=fr?PHPSESSID=215a96f2699cc1b6a207f994f1cda107&PHPSESSID=f81016103234ace95e809e8ff7de27b7&page=1
  11. yup. Diligence and luck are needed to find a liner. But those tend to work eventually. I found one for my MJ trailer that was only 20 miles from the house.
  12. undo all the bench bolts so it can scoot forward (I used a socket with a small extension for the last 2) and then remove the seat belt bolts with a #50 torx bit.
  13. swiped the battery out of the new MJ so I can try and move the dakota.
  14. woohoo! I love ravines
  15. pretty sure mother's Back to Black is what my pop uses on his Jeep.
  16. are you uploading from a laptop or phone?
  17. Jeep does enjoy taunting us, no?
  18. yup, that is a concern for sure. I'd like to at least do it once so I have the plate for later display
  19. maybe "ALL AMC" ? if there's a chrysler part on this, I haven't found it yet.
  20. the tag is badly faded but I was able to make out that my truck was built in May of 88 which shoots down my "LASTAMC" idea. damn. I really like that one. I still could go for something like "88 AMC" in protest of chrysler's acquisition.
  21. I've not gone through the process yet myself so other guys can probably do better with specifics, but I can speak to the importance of due diligence. talk to every customer you can find, check the quality of their other work with your own eyes... aka: do your research. It's like everything else on your truck but times a million since it's so visible, expensive and (hopefully) permanent. anyone can pull the trigger on a spray gun, you want the guy/gal that knows what they are doing and takes pride in their work.
