indeed. best I can offer is I can likely tell you how they were made IF I had one of the parts in my hands. There are always little telltale indicators on plastic parts. BUT, I'd wager that knowing how the originals were made doesn't actually bring new parts closer to fruition. you have to work with what you have available, and that is likely going to be 'glass.

I bet they do. apparently that one could have been much worse, as there were some hazmat tankers super close to being part of the derailment.

I've had nice wool socks in the past and had a love-hate relationship with them. The problem boils down to finding ankle socks in a size 14. Even the XL hiking socks were barely big enough new and eventually shrunk a bit over time and I stopped wearing them. I'll have to check out costco.

where do you guys with larger feet get your socks? I used to get Hanes brand white ankle-height at Walmart (sz14-16 I think) but the last couple times I found that hanes was severely skimping on the amount of fabric in the socks. bastids.

maybe talk to the guy that does Lund visor re-pops. they are fiberglass, but honestly I wouldn't be opposed to them being fiberglass on my truck. I worked for dupont's plastics division many, many moons ago and dabbled in vacuum forming. But we were only doing small 12" long parts, not 5 ft long front ends.

the story is that it had a wire fire and was stripped to repair, but then they gave up and just ran enough wires to make the carb run. best part was that the brake lights were a button on the firewall in stead of, you know, the switch still there above the pedal.
