  1. excellent. takes lots of pics. we love pics.
  2. start it now. introduce the truck. include some pics. update later as you accomplish upgrades. the CC will host your pics. just drag them into the text box.
  3. go start a build thread! gotta know more about that clean beauty
  4. do you have cruise control?
  5. have your chatted with jeepdriver about picking a day for meeting up?
  6. even if the factory replacement attempt doesn't pan out, it'd still be awesome if someone could fab an adapter housing for something more readily available. for example: XJ tails, trailer tails, dakota tails, etc.
  7. I'm down for that. Or anyone else that wants to meet in the area. any updates?
  8. that is a good looking truck right there
  9. the more you spend on shocks, the better the ride will be. but even cheap shocks are probably better than 30 year old dead shocks.

  11. where abouts are you? there is a 90k mile '89 4.0 in a pullapart near Atlanta.
  12. "going to die soon"? could you elaborate? on the topic of axles, the 5.2 isn't all that different in power numbers than the 4.0 so stockish axles will do fine.
  13. they've become quite popular. 12 bucks and a few minutes of your time can prevent a fire and improve your headlight output. there's a link to an example in my signature.
  14. Only the later ones. Early renegades (the ones that typically had the quad-light pod on the roof) had the regular hood. I've been half-heartedly been looking for years now and suddenly found 2 on the same day in neighboring pullaparts. (though one of them had been in a rollover and so all the cool parts were ruined.)
  15. random pic from the internet. I don't remember if it said the year.

google "junkyards" and see what comes up along your route
  17. you're going to be thrilled once all those updated parts are in play. I recently discovered that my '00 Dakota has the metric-3/16"-bubble flare thing going on. I wussed out and got pre-made lines.
  18. looks like a solid truck! welcome to the club! be sure to pull up the carpet and to get yourself the headlight relay harness.
  19. you speak the truth. I looked up a video and sure enough, the holes have no adjustability whatsoever. that sucks, but good to know.
