this new virus is incredibly contagious and kids are notorious germ spreaders. if a school district wants to go full virtual for a while, I can't blame them for erring on the side of caution. I know my old school district in Michigan is doing testing and contact tracing and a friends elementary age kid was sent home along with the entire class for 2 weeks of virtual classes after one of the kids in it turned up positive. after that they went back to regular classes again. no one alive has ever had to deal with a pandemic on this scale and so different people have different ideas of how best to stay safe but keep regular life going. be patient and keep your learning the priority.

why not ask for ideas now? we have a whole Tech forum dedicated to that

just now scrolled by that on FB and saw a bunch of "you need to make this again" in the comments. careful what you wish for people! IFS/IRS with a cutesy grille and no payload abilities could be coming your way. my emotions are torn between: "yay! they acknowledged our existence!" and "seriously?, that's what we get? Kinda wish they'd just forget about us again."

a tip I find super important is to write down where I left off and leave that paper in the truck when I know I won't get back to it any time soon.

the REM is a godsend. with 30 year old trucks, it's usually a combination of old parts that causes frustrations.

yeah, when my folks bought their first trailer I found out just what people meant when they told me that trailers were not built to the same standards as cars. the initial run though found only a couple problems, but the next couple years found sooooo many more. thankfully they have me around so that the trailer wasn't stuck in the shop more than at a campground. it helped immensely to join a forum dedicated to our trailer's brand so I could find out what others had done.

upgrade shafts with the bigger joints will make for a strong axle.

find someone with a welder and they can fix that up in 5 seconds.

as long as it's a short video, the CC should be able to host it. just make sure it's at your lowest image quality so it doesn't eat up a ton of space. the flexpipe should have been standard issue on all Jeeps. I imagine it would have eliminated the manifold cracking!

a quick-n-dirty way to check gear ratio is to spin one tire exactly twice (or if posi, both tires together just once) and count the times the driveshaft spins. just over 4 times is 4.10, just shy of 5 times is 4.88 etc.

a lot of the early year's info was lost in a basement flood before they could be inserted into Chrysler's computers. the list of codes should be much longer. but there's still hope! your truck's original paper copy might be still in the truck they are sometimes behind the door panel, behind the rear carpet wall, under a seat or even up under the dash on the pass side.

I've often thought about buying some generic rubber material and cutting them out in the MJ pattern for my stock truck. I went with Peterbilt for my offroader

GAC does equate to tinted glass on my 89 code list. it's possible that they ALL have the "tinted" glass. may just mean that the glass isn't perfectly clear. I've owned cars that had "tinted glass" that you could only know was tinted if you had a clear version parked right next to it.

the particular truck in question doesn't have such fancy things

that won't protect the important bits. once salt gets into the frame and rockers, it's only a matter of time. just buy a cheap beater with snow tires for salt use.
