  1. your height sensing prop valve linkage is inverted. the big swing arm should point to the passenger side, not down. it typically happens when a truck goes up on a lift and then the operator doesn't make sure it goes back where it should when brought back down to the ground.
  2. dana 35.
  3. front axle is always a dana 30. rear is likely a dana 35, but could also be an AMC-20. sharing a pic of the diff cover will answer that easy enough.
  4. yup, after a couple seconds of running, the power then only goes through the resistor and if it's bad or disconnected, the engine stops. it's a great line to tap into for a anti-theft switch. instead of looking for an obvious switch when nothing happens (such is the case with most anti-theft devices), the thief might just assume that the truck is just an old piece of crap because it starts but stutters and stops.
  5. someone on a Renix facebook page found them. turns out that they are still used in the world
  6. if you didn't know yet, those are Liberty rims

guess who found a tiny piece of paper that (I hope) goes to his empty shell. guess I'll stop calling it an 89!
  8. I can't drive out there until tomorrow morning at the earliest, so you've got time to contemplate. I've got no idea of its condition yet.
  9. the internet says an 84 popped up in a local yard. anything in particular I should be snagging aside from the usual (interior fabrics)? talkin' to you eaglescout.
  10. it's not weird at all. I call the folder: "music I like". best playlist ever!
  11. it's not just me. but I super appreciate it
  12. yeah, you need to more or less cover everything in the garage with plastic. looks fantastic though!
  13. the bumpers can be straightened fairly easily by a body shop. that rear chrome is super hard to find and is worth fixing.
  14. the stickers are a nice touch
  15. don't turn on the blower until you evict the little devils.
  16. the two-tone trucks are rare as all get out. so glad to see she was adopted by someone who will take care of her
  17. the "plastic bucket seat" is one of those reused codes.
  18. so I hear that these are available overseas. https://www.ebay.com/itm/RPM-Crankshaft-Sensor-fits-RENAULT-CLIO-Mk3-1-2-2005-on-Intermotor-6001548175/233747387740?epid=1534632660&hash=item366c6e155c%3Ag%3AhPQAAOSws9dfiOr8
  19. that's the red that mine is, yes. (though pretty faded on top)
  20. nope the new red one. (chances are slim I'd ever repaint it outside of an accident/repairs, but if I had to, I'm going to do it right)
  21. I've got 200k miles on my Liberty with it in AWD for near that entire time. I've seen no effect on wear and tear or mileage. those things were just a thing that Jeep advertised but it never came to fruition and so they dumped the entire concept for a normal front axle back in the early 90s.
  22. oh wow, what a gem that is! be sure to start a build thread and give us all the details!
  23. not yet. but that's the plan should I ever repaint the new 88. start from scratch.
  24. you can upload all the photos you want here on the CC. we have software that auto-shrinks and saves them on our server so they can't get lost should an outside photo hosting company decide to change their policies (cough-Photobucket-cough). plus not all of us have an Instagram account, so they would miss out on the details. That truck is just awesome! you clearly have put a lot of work into it.
  25. what state are you in? do they have inspections or sniffers?
