  1. uhaul is open for part of today. heading out to go grab the trailer soon.
  2. wait, what?
  3. just now walked out to the truck and it sounds like the fuel pump is active. dunno what that means. we'll see what the morning brings. edit: google says it's normal. freaky, but normal. weird.
  4. yeah, for some reason the replacement leafs seem to give lift too. some is understandable because all springs settle a small amount, but 2+ is not going to all settle out. If you've got the budget for them, Deaver Springs makes top end stuff. their website doesn't list an MJ, but I know I've seen guys running them now and again.
  5. I asked for details and I can both cross state lines and have unlimited miles.
  6. snagged a truck as a rental. I gotta shrink the trip a bit and rent a smaller trailer, but I will do my best if anyone needs something.
  7. they had a minivan ready to go, but I wandered out to the trucks out of curiosity and low and behold, found a factory tow package.
  8. so we managed to snag a truck with a hitch as a rental. this evening I'll see what all I can throw together for a parts run north.
  9. the proper manual is the 89 manual set (it's the first year of the chrysler rewrite)
  10. yup, chances are that they pulled the overload either for 1/2" less lift, or because of some misguided idea that it would provide more uptravel. It doesn't really have to be an MJ overload, but I would recommend something there since it does a good job of keeping springwrap under control.
  11. IMO the shock mounts on that rear axle have got to go. they hang super low and are 90* off of what the MJ needs. the lower eye should match the upper eye in orientation. your leafpacks are missing the overload leaf.
  12. yup, factory autos have 3.55s vs manuals with 3.07. they need a bit more gear.
  13. I mean, if I had that many girlfriends I might forget a birthday or two also.
  14. apostrophes matter happy birthday!
  15. I would do 4.56 for sure. the extra power is nice for stop and go and for climbing hills. don't fear the RPMs. the MPG math is more complicated than straight up counting engine rotations.
  16. brought Mom home today. still very sore but doing fine. Got to visit the Durango today to retrieve our stuff. Doesn't look any better in the daylight, but I popped the hood and the engine doesn't seem touched by the impact. for whatever that's worth. might find out tomorrow what the inspector says about it.
  17. If I found some 4.10 axles in a junkyard, I'd run them because I'd be saving a bunch of money. but if I was paying for all new stuff, 4.56. with no hesitation.
  18. no money plus no tow rig means no bueno.
  19. I would start with firing it up cold and while it's struggling I'd wiggle vacuum lines around, especially the MAP sensor line. then the next time I'd try spraying some throttle body cleaner around. if it is a vacuum leak, it'll get sucked into the engine and the RPMs will change. before that though, when is the last time you cleaned the throttle body? could just be the idle controller is sticking.
  20. vacuum leak that goes away once the engine bay warms up?
  21. When you finally found a way to steal the train in GTA. (there are tracks under the ice)
  22. have you run your numbers through Eagle's tire-vs-ratio chart?
  23. link to the kit?
  24. what are you thoughts on giving it a grille guard?
