  1. brought Mom home today. still very sore but doing fine. Got to visit the Durango today to retrieve our stuff. Doesn't look any better in the daylight, but I popped the hood and the engine doesn't seem touched by the impact. for whatever that's worth. might find out tomorrow what the inspector says about it.
  2. If I found some 4.10 axles in a junkyard, I'd run them because I'd be saving a bunch of money. but if I was paying for all new stuff, 4.56. with no hesitation.
  3. no money plus no tow rig means no bueno.
  4. I would start with firing it up cold and while it's struggling I'd wiggle vacuum lines around, especially the MAP sensor line. then the next time I'd try spraying some throttle body cleaner around. if it is a vacuum leak, it'll get sucked into the engine and the RPMs will change. before that though, when is the last time you cleaned the throttle body? could just be the idle controller is sticking.
  5. vacuum leak that goes away once the engine bay warms up?
  6. When you finally found a way to steal the train in GTA. (there are tracks under the ice)
  7. have you run your numbers through Eagle's tire-vs-ratio chart?
  8. link to the kit?
  9. what are you thoughts on giving it a grille guard?

    Beer

this stuff tastes like Octoberfest distilled into a bottle. too bad we only had the one. but now when mom gets back from the hospital I can tell her that dad and I drank all the beer in the house!
  11. the good news: the shaft has been replaced. the bad news: i pulled the CPS from my spare block easy enough, but the cap head bolt in my current engine stripped quite readily. access isn't easy, as the downpipe and some engine ribbing are in the way of any tools. I probably will need to cut the exhaust out. I always wanted a straight pipe, I guess now is as good as any to make it happen. sigh... whoever thought it was an ok idea to put these tiny headed bolts into an engine block can go to hell.

huh, generally those are 3 digit code and correspond to the explanation beside it. I guess i never even noticed that jdog's printout had different codes. @eaglescout526 's printouts have the old 3 digit codes.

well? what's it like to drive them?
  16. stiff shocks can also cause a horrible ride.
  17. yeah, I would have loved to have that the other night. ER waiting areas are not fun places to be.
  18. you're going to love the gearing what size tires are you shooting for?
  19. does it fire up if you try cranking with the trans in neutral?
  20. it's true. some guys need to learn the hard way. this one is quite deadly though, so do try extra hard to learn it the easy way.
  21. looks good just a note though, never ever ever use the ball as a recovery point. just insert your strap into the hitch and use the pin to hold it there.
  22. how perfect is that?!
