I'm sure you do. And someday you might be able to get it. But not for a while (I'm not due to return until Christmas time) and not until I figure out how to take it out successfully. The only reason I still have it is because JB gave up on trying to remove it.

Just good ol' Jeep oil residue (and the dirt that it's attracted over the years). The oil gets EVERYWHERE depending on where the leaks are. Oh, and I've finally been able to get more pics up in an official Project post.

I've had this dream for a while now. A dream of saving a rustfree MJ from certain doom in the Junkyard and turning it in to my new wheeler. In theory I'd be relatively guilt-free about trashing a solid body since it was destined for the crusher anyways. At least that's the theory. It has yet to be proven and it'll be quite some time before I have to make any tough decisions about her future. Now, in this case I wasn't actually the savior, jbhill was technically the one that saved her from certain doom, but she's mine all mine now (well, dad's technically). This is likely to be one of the most delayed projects ever (since I need another project like I need another hole in my head), but I will dutifully snap pics of each and every mod. :D She's got a lot of mildew-looking junk on her that'll need to be scrubbed off. The floor liner has already been thrown out. There will likely be a 4.0 in there, but for now I'm dreaming of a Hemi. :D Doesn't cost anything to dream. Passenger side looks worse than the drivers, but it's mostly rust stain and dirt. And finally, a shot showing the ubiquitous backwards brake arm. Why can't shops pay attention when they have our trucks up on the lift? Also note that I STILL HAVE MY GAS TANK!! Take that Oizarod. :D You got the one from his 87 MJ. :thumbsup:

He needs the front floor brackets (the ones you don't have). I was just going to take them off the seat that came with the 90 since it's being thrown out anyways and the brackets are rust free.

Kiss the sun goodbye and park your valued vehicles in the garage for fear of the rust gremlins. sigh... Maybe moving to Georgia wouldn't be so bad.

How are they handling the loss? I've heard horror stories about some dogs falling into deep depression after their best friend was no longer around. :(

86-87 had them at the back of the bed. Jeep switched locations in 88.

My dogs are my children. Plain and simple. But unlike actual kids, it's not the normal order of things for dogs to outlive their owners. My older dog Perri is getting up there in years (13) and it's hard to not think about his inevitable passing. We almost lost him to an infection many years ago and I didn't take that very well. But with regular exercise, a good diet, glucosamine and other arthritis meds he's in pretty good shape, considering. I will do everything in my power to keep him as healthy as possible for as long as possible. I owe him that much. Yeah, I wish we could have stayed longer, but we'd been on the road for about 10 hours at that point and my parents were itching to get going. Maybe someday we can have a meet and greet in the Atlanta area. :cheers: Oh, and I owe you a seat bracket. :roll:

School is over. Got the degree and everything. Hasn't helped find a job though. Economy sucks here in Michigan. Parents recently bought a house in GA, if I can find a job down there, I might live in their house until they officially move down in 2 years (mom can't retire quite yet). And if GA is God's country, he's got a weird sense of humor. Every time I go down there, I find some freaky new bug or spider. :eek: Rubber floor had to be sacrificed. There was a ton of water soaked up in the insulation. Glad I looked before pushing the truck in for storage. I'll probably POR it and roll in a bed liner at some point

The "high, but no low" issue could very likely be a blown resistor pack. It's located under the dash by the passenger's feet. Held into the duct work down there by a single 7 or 8mm screw. Looks like a little cover. If you've blown both the resistor pack and the fuse, I'd guess that the motor is too aged and the bearings are toast.

Dad recently found out that he's "retiring" a year earlier than he wanted to, so money is too tight at the moment for a trip that far. :( I'm still hoping to hook up with Mini and Possum for some local wheeling.

Yes, yes I did. :D No immediate plans (heck, the next time I'm in Georgia my plan is to push it out of the garage and wash it, then push it back in), but unless something comes up, I'll likely be building it someday to replace the 88 as my wheeler. And it'll never ever touch salt covered roads. EVER!
