  1. Then the 87 isn't a 3-speed. It's a 4-speed AW-4. They are both AW-4s. And I do believe they are swappable, but I'm not much of an auto expert so wait until someone can give you confirmation on that. After the swap, be prepared to try and track down why overdrive wasn't working in the 87. I think overdrive is computer controlled so there may be a fuse blown or maybe the trans computer is fried. Or it might be a problem with the trans itself Once again, I'm out of my little bubble of knowledge so I'm not sure what you should check first.
  2. What engines are in the 87 and 92?
  3. Umm, those are stock upper and lower control arms. Might be a small lift, if that. There's a chance he might have just gotten aftermarket shocks. Personally, I'm not sure I'd even bother with any of it. The rear shocks won't even fit the MJ.
  4. Upgrade to the later model XJ shafts that run the bigger joints. If you've got the cash, I'd go aftermarket shafts with CTM joints. And if I had a welder, I might even ad a bit of a truss to the axle. But I'd be doing that more for fun than because I was worried about it. Unless you like to jump the truck... :D
  5. Not really. Not any that will match the rear axle without a ton of effort at least. Something wrong with your '30?
  6. D'oh! Oh and : :needpics:
  7. Vector! that's the one! They called it a vector file. Thanks Taz!
  8. It's a file type that can supposedly be enlarged and shrunk without pixel-ating the image.
  9. edit: AVI is the wrong one, the correct term is Vector. Thanks Taz! Turns out that the image form that the new decal image is in can't be modified directly and they would need to convert it to photoshop to make the minor changes I want, then convert it back and blah blah blah. But I don't want to pay them to do that. I think I'd rather go back and modify the original artwork myself (using microsoft paint) and then have it converted to Vector for use as our new logo decal. I just want to clean up some of the intersections and corners so it's easier to weed the decals (which I do myself to keep the costs down). The image as it stands right now was never intended to be a decal, just an image.
  10. Front, probably. Rear probably not. But it all depends on what exactly it is. How much lift is it? Is it a complete kit? or just someone's hack job using just longer coils and a block spacer in the rear? Does it have longer lower control arms? Longer uppers? Does it have a full leaf pack? or just an AAL? Long AAL or short AAL? I would leave the short AAL behind. If it uses blocks to raise the rear, those are worthless on an MJ. And am I the only one that goes to the junkyard with a camera?
  11. I'd do: -rocker guards -bumpers -underbelly skids -JK rubicon axles front and rear -stick with the 33" tire size -long arm lift kit in the 4.5-5.5" range
  12. My opponent this week got 68 points out of his top 3 players. I got 68 points period. Last week your top 2 got more points than my bottom 7. I'm tellin' ya, it doesn't matter which guys I pick, or what teams they will be playing, there will be suckage. I just got the short straw at the beginning of the year (from injuries) and have a bunch of mediocrity left to choose from. Changing up my lineup so as to bet against the Lions is still fun though. :D I even have a new avatar:
  13. Somebody trade me one of there super duper awesome players for a week, I want to test out the theory that being on my fantasy team ensures that they will become a crappy player. :brows:
  14. Well, my last 2 guys have started playing their game, but since I'm down 55 to 110, I doubt I'll be getting a win this week. I blame Tom Brady for all this. Ya hear that Tom? I hate you. I hate you and your bum leg.
  15. You guys might be off the hook for tonight. I've figured out why they haven't replied. Seems the email was never sent. It's not in my "sent" folder. So I resent it and am waiting again. :hateputers:
  16. holy COW are these things hard to weed! I got the first sample of a 10" long decal and I gotta say it needs a wee bit of refining before I'm willing to weed 20 of them. What works on a business card doesn't necessarily work well on a decal. Tomorrow I'll go back and see what he can do to merge a few of the lines and simplify it a bit.

    Chicks!

Looks like a shaved spot for a shot or maybe a blood sample was taken.
  18. Alright! A little brother/sister for the older one to pick on! :D
  19. I'm under the impression that the auto and manual trans crossmembers are the same. Just the trans mount and maybe the location is different. But since you're going with a trans that never made it into an MJ or XJ, you might need to go custom. I haven't looked uner the dash in awhile, but I don't think there's a "clutch pedal cable". Jeep transmission have a hydraulic clutch action. You'll need the slave-to-master hydraulic assembly. I don't know how the NSG-370 slave compares to the older transmission slaves. And I always enjoy shifting gears. :D
  20. You might want to mention which town it's in. Or at least which state.
  21. one of my trucks has an ignition that turns backswards and without a key. I just call it an anti-theft device and ignore it. :D (mine doesn't drain the battery when off though)
  22. Well, looks like I'm going to lose another one. Unless my kicker and the one wide receiver have a spectacular game tomorrow (and the opposing fantasy QB has an awful game today). sigh... How am I supposed to win anything if my TE and the one RB combine for all of 2 points? At least I got my un-tradeable WR back from his injury (from right before game 1). We'll see how he does today and maybe I'll get to play him next week.
  23. Ok, so I haven't heard back from the host yet with that info I need, so I'm delaying everything til late Monday night.
  24. I always get a little worried when I hear of people swapping in old gears. :D
