  1. Terribly sorry about that. The old forum software had plenty of bugs in it and it was impossible for me to catch all of them. :( We should be much better off with the new update. :D If only you had known to email me, I could have fixed it 3 years and 5 months ago. :( But welcome to the club! :wavey:
  2. Some good reading here: http://www.jpmagazine.com/techarticles/ ... index.html
  3. Where do they rub? and what rims are you running?
  4. SYE is not necessary on a shortbed at 4.5".
  5. Oops, I meant "U-joint yoke", not flange.
  6. Yup, I know it's misspelled. :D I did it on accident at first, but it was months before anyone noticed it and after it was pointed out, I decided to keep it that way. I'll work on the search thing. Might be a minute though. I'm a bit overloaded with new info. :ack:

    New Look

one step at a time here guys. If you think you have some learning to do, that's nothing. I've got a lot of new pages to read through. :( I did manage to reload the old subsilver2 style. Maybe someday I'll get some new colors for it. :D
  8. I shiver at the thought of what the answer might be, but... what trans did you have rebuilt? Please don't tell me it was the Ba-10 Peugeot :ack: Also, I have a similar issue with my 90 and the plan is to just disconnect the heater core from the system. :D
  9. I've read that a standard Dana 44 U-joint flange can indeed be swapped on.
  10. No it's not, that's my AMC-20. I'd recognize that Michigan rust anywhere. :D
  11. Dang, I can't seem to get anything right. His email actually said "PST" so that'd be, what, 3am EST. Carry on.
  12. I think it's the older MJ/XJs that have a regular pressure switch for the brake lights. Like 86 and older.
  13. Oops. Yes, eastern standard time. :hateputers:
  14. yup, we will be trying again tonight. :typing:
  15. Some good reading here: http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12369
  16. In 86 the available T-cases were the np-207 (21 spline) and the rare np-228 awd case. All 2.5L/2.8Ls had 21 spline t-cases.
  17. Meh. I just throw out the anchor. :D
  18. Yup. And there could be coolant under the carpet too. I've had that happen. :(
  19. Sounds like a good time to "pass". Too bad. :( Just goes to show ya what all a fresh paint job will hide.
  20. I don't know if it's worth it, but I believe it only applies to 91+ mpi 2.5Ls.
  21. x2. car-part.com shows 3 late model 8.25s with 4.10 gears in Mass for $250 each. Go get one! And if there is a matching front axle at the yard, get that too!
  22. How can no one ever remember my paypal? It's the same as my email address, petermontie@hotmail.com :D If you want a decal, you better send me a PM (and include your address). I've been known to forget it otherwise.
  23. Thanks for trying.
  24. I've been meaning to pull it out of the garage, but keep getting sidetracked with more important stuff (it's been a rough week). Wanted to do it today but it's pouring rain. I'll be dragging it out on the next decent day and then I'll update with photos, opinions and such.
