  1. No it won't. I just made a mess. :D But then my pilot bearing had half-disintegrated and so there wasn't a smooth surface touching the dowel I used. I eventually removed it with a pilot bearing puller. But anyway, after I saw that pilot "bearing", I was far more comfortable with using the bushing that replaced it. At least the bushing can't suddenly lose it's bearings.
  2. I don't remember getting a plate with the AX-15 that went into my 88. So I guess the Peugeot one worked. :dunno:
  3. And if the bumper is rusty at all, I wouldn't use it. It's mostly just sheetmetal and can rust from the inside-out.
  4. That's pretty much all you really need. That article even covers the seal that a CAD axle needs (slightly different than a non-CAD axle). Just install the newer axle shaft like the instructions say (including the seals in the new locations.) For the CAD itself, just remove the guts and silicone the housing back on. Or you can just shim the fork and call it a day. If you're going through the effort of swapping in a new shaft, I would go with the newer shafts that take the bigger U-joints and do both sides.
  5. For what it's worth, my 4.0 has overheated 3 times now (2 of them very badly) and did not damage the head gasket.
  6. Yup. http://www.madxj.com/MADXJ/technical/te ... dSeals.htm
  7. Somebody has to host it, and my impression was that this site was hosting the attachments. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. But if I'm right, then we can't do that and stay within the current annual costs. Maybe later it'll happen, but not right now. It is nice to know we can do that eventually though. :D
  8. Um, where are the pics stored if not on photobucket?
  9. What's an "attachment thingy"? :hmm:
  10. If both vehicles are 4.0Ls, then the front driveshaft will work. It's the rear that won't.
  11. I don't recommend hooking up the disco on a vac Dana 30. Just permanently engage it and plug the lines. :D
  12. Sounds like you're cooling system needs some TLC. Do you have access to an infrared temperature gun? And a swap to a full gauge cluster sounds like a good idea too.
  13. I have no need for it. At least not on my 88 MJ. It can't go fast enough. :D
  14. Make sure your computer is accepting the site's cookies.
  15. Sometimes a bad socket in the turn signal lights can cause weird issues in the cluster lights. Not sure if that's your problem since the issue arose after swapping in the new cluster.
  16. I watched them like a hawk. 8) But I've had the other tire places screw up stuff too, so I can't say they are actually any worse.
  17. Some of us prefer it upside down. :D
  18. Just wait til you discover the spell-check feature and then explore the various add-ons. My favorites are "Forecastfox", "Map+", and of course, the super-duper awesome "Adblock plus".
  19. And I guess I should have said mine were 5 dismounts, mounts, balances, and 4 disposals.
  20. When I go to search, I see the option of "Topic titles only ". Is this what you're lookiong for?
  21. I had 5 tires mounted and balanced (plus 4 disposals) for the Libby for under 50 bucks at Walmart.
  22. Also, keep in mind that if something fails on the street and someone is injured, you're liable.
  23. Can it really be that simple? I have the exact same problem and i also use a fram filter! Its about time for an oil/filter change anyway so i will definetly try it. Yes, It can actually be that simple. Good for us; Bad for fram. for some reason, Fram has some issues with the filter we use. I too almost lost my engine to a fram.
  24. Yeah, Walmart was less than half of what Belle Tire quoted me. I'd recommend paying a bit extra and get the lifetime balance deal.
