  1. The flecks are already in the paint. And it's a pretty dull finish.
  2. Should be 3.55 gears.
  3. I don't know about that, but if you PM me an address, I might send you a sticker or something. :brows:
  4. The can says: ZT-20-80-1G Desert Camo I believe it's Zolatone-20 and I think I only used the fleck coat. Th info is kinda vague and confusing. :hmm:

I'm guessing it's like the IMG tag and lets the user add in flash animation/pictures/etc. I've turned it off for the time being until I learn more.
  6. The distributor has no factory adjustment. The ECU does whatever it feels is required.
  7. If you get the rear end up higher than the front, you can use the temp sensor at the back of the block to bleed the air out. Unscrew it until you hear air escaping. Make sure you do it on a COLD engine and have a towel over the sensor to shield you in case you turn the sensor too far and it pops off. Oh, and having someone in the truck ready to kill the engine helps too.

Well, stop with the IE and get yourself firefox. I'll never go back. :D But now that you mention it, if I left-click on it, the link does indeed open in this window. Huh. I wonder why? Dunno. I'm going back to opening them with my scroller wheel. :typing: If I find anything that answers this dilema, I'll let you know. In the meantime: mozilla.org
  9. It does have some shelf life. But I got the stuff at the end of last winter. :( And storage seems pretty straight forward simple. "Keep at room temperature".
  10. You have no idea. Around my family and friends I usually refer to my trucks by color. (makes it easy on the less informed) I'm so screwed. :shake:
  11. I don't know. It's just something I've heard about.
  12. It's even free-er flowing now that the muffler blew up. :D

That's a setting in your computer. Are you running Firefox or IE? In firefox, I can simply use the scroller wheel to click open any link I want in a new tab.
  14. Even less fun when you lose that that guy. But I think I've just come to accept that my team is cursed. I could have competed this past week. Could have made it a tight game. But my entire team decided to let me down. No, that's not entirely fair. Kevin Walter (WR) had a phenomenal game. It just wasn't enough to prop up the rest of the lazy slackers. Now I get to juggle BYEs again. :help:
  15. Was there any groove in the crankshaft where the seal touches it? If so you might need the double lipped one.
  16. I just google'd amc 20 and that was the best picture that came up. I don't have any pictures of my own axles, but the one in the diesel is worse than the one in the picture :( I guess norwegian rust is just as bad as yours... My 86 has only been in Michigan for a few years. The rest of its life was spent rust-free. :(
  17. This one says in bold letters that it is never to see the frigid cold. As to separation, it's already separated. Comes that way. There's a blob of colored material at the bottom of the can of gooey snot. But I've been warned that it has a limited self life. But I don't know what happens to it after it goes bad. Maybe that's why I had so much trouble spraying it on. :dunno: It seems to have adhered to the truck alright. :redX:
  18. How do you sleep at night having lost Matt Millen? :rotf: With a smile. :clapping:
  19. I ditched mine long ago. No problems yet.
  20. It's not really a "paint" per se, but it applies sorta like one (using a paint gun is required, so no brushing it on). It's insanely tough it what it is. The brand name is Zolatone. The website will list what it's resistant to. http://www.zolatoneaim.com/ I tried to take a closeup to show the texture. It feels hard as a rock and very smooth. It should do great as an offroad coating. I'll certainly never get a scratch from branches. :D And the truck as a whole. So far I'm pleased with it. I'm not sure if I'll keep it monotone or go with a camo pattern later on. It could really use a second coat, but I'm just going to live with it since I cna't spray anything more until Springtime. It was a crazy pain in the butt to apply, but it was my first time and I didn't know what to expect. If I did it again, it would be much easier (but still a pain). With the cooler temperatures, I should have let it cure for longer before attempting to remove the tape. I painted the back of the cab black because it was waaay easier than trying to hit it with the Zolatone. And while I was at it, I replaced all the random hardware holding the front trim to the truck. Out with the old... ...and in with the new. Just coated deck screws. I used a few longer ones too.
  21. How can I win anything when my bottom 7 guys can barely outscore the opposition's QB? Maybe I simply cursed myself by putting "Lions" in the team name. :rotfl2:
  22. Pete M

    how much?

You have to have patience when working with 20 year old trucks. Some days will be better than others.
  23. You guys are all just jealous because the Lions have a perfect 0-7 record going. :teehee:
  24. What size tires? Still have the original cat?
  25. Too bad they don't get to play the Lions. Your guys could use a week of vacation. :D
