I don't know what to do. The images are there. Not only do I see them when I switch styles, but I seent hem if I go in to edit them. Have you guys rebooted your computers lately?

I just talked with my parents on the phone and they recently saw 1.99 at a station in Tennesee (they are on their way down to Georgia coming from Detroit).

The book is correct. Timing is not adjustable. It is set and adjusted wholly by the computer.

That part is called the Fuel Pump Ballast Resistor. It's purpose is to lessen the voltage getting to the fuel pump and thus lower the fuel pump's speed and thus lessen the noise it puts out. In 87 Jeep had a bunch of complaints about the fuel pump noise and the resistor was their fix. Usually when the resistor goes bad, the truck will fire up, and then die in a couple seconds as the computer switches fuel pump power from a direct line over to the resistor. But now that you've said it, it sounds perfectly plausible that it could be the culprit in trucks with poor fuel pressure. Thanks! :thumbsup:

Victory is mine! I've managed to change the colors on subsilver2. But I didn't actually change subsilver2, I made a new one and called it "subgreen" and then made it the default style. Anyone that misses the bright blue shades we've been starting at for the last few years can still go back into their setting and change it back to subsilver2. I'm not going to. That blue has burned into my retinas. :(

You need the broadest surface area you can muster. Really big tires help, but I've seen Jeeps on stock car tires do awesome in the sand when aired down to 10 psi. A really aggressive tire works ok in the sand, but if you give it too much gas, it'll dig a hole right quick. A less aggressive tire is more forgiving in this respect and is the preferred sand tire for normal rigs.

3.07 gears + any tire size above 29" = suckage.

Thornbirds should be a great tire for the sand since they are so utterly non-aggressive in the tread area.

I seem to be getting the hang of this. My next big project will be changing colors and images inside the styles. If you go into your "User Control Panel", then "board preferences", then "My board style:" you can choose black pearl, rainbow pearl, PS3, prosilver, or the default, subsilver2. I prefer subsilver2 and that will be the template I'll be using when I change colors and such. That may or may not filter over to the other styles, but that all depends on how much work it turns out to be.

What's that saying? "A bad day wheeling is better than a good day at work" I've got pics of every time I've been stuck. And the time in the sand was a simple fix. I walked around and aired down the tires (like I should have done earlier but was too lazy to do that time). Then drove away (and did it without hitting that tree).

Air down, air down ,air down. That's all you really need. And even a $20 plug-in cheapie compressor can air you back up. It just takes lots of time (and pay attention to the duty cycle so you don't over heat it). I myself prefer a Co2 tank as onboard air. Also I'm moving this to the pub unless you provide some pictures. :needpics:

I've heard that the clutch components can be swapped from one to the other. Can't say for certain though.

I used to own a real nice camera. Canon Elan 7e. Paid a lot for it. Ended up selling the body for all of a hundred. :( sigh... Film camera don't have any resale these days.

Don't "think", know. Why do people install freer flowing heads, exhaust, and bigger throttle bodies? Stuffing a plug into the system won't help with power. But it can help with fuel mileage. Just imagine that you can't push the gas peddle all the way down. :yes:

I remember this coming up a while back. One guy was indeed able to get a new 02 sensor on his under-100k mile truck while another could not convince the dealership to do it for his 200k mile truck. Don't get your hopes up if you've got a ton of miles on your baby, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. And if you want it in the DIY forum, I'd suggest starting with a fresh post explaining the recall stuff, not a post that starts with a question. You guys are uber lazy. :shake:
