    Good Bye Roscoe

My dogs are my children. Plain and simple. But unlike actual kids, it's not the normal order of things for dogs to outlive their owners. My older dog Perri is getting up there in years (13) and it's hard to not think about his inevitable passing. We almost lost him to an infection many years ago and I didn't take that very well. But with regular exercise, a good diet, glucosamine and other arthritis meds he's in pretty good shape, considering. I will do everything in my power to keep him as healthy as possible for as long as possible. I owe him that much. My sympathies and prayers to you and your family Willy. Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta go hug my dogs...
  2. Yeah, I wish we could have stayed longer, but we'd been on the road for about 10 hours at that point and my parents were itching to get going. Maybe someday we can have a meet and greet in the Atlanta area. Oh, and I owe you a seat bracket.
  3. Had to go out of state and see it with my own eyes to believe it really does exist. :D
  4. School is over. Got the degree and everything. Hasn't helped find a job though. Economy sucks here in Michigan. Parents recently bought a house in GA, if I can find a job down there, I might live in their house until they officially move down in 2 years (mom can't retire quite yet). And if GA is God's country, he's got a weird sense of humor. Every time I go down there, I find some freaky new bug or spider. Rubber floor had to be sacrificed. There was a ton of water soaked up in the insulation. Glad I looked before pushing the truck in for storage. I'll probably POR it and roll in a bed liner at some point
  5. Teaser pics until I get the time to upload more:
  6. The "high, but no low" issue could very likely be a blown resistor pack. It's located under the dash by the passenger's feet. Held into the duct work down there by a single 7 or 8mm screw. Looks like a little cover. If you've blown both the resistor pack and the fuse, I'd guess that the motor is too aged and the bearings are toast.
  7. Dad recently found out that he's "retiring" a year earlier than he wanted to, so money is too tight at the moment for a trip that far. :( I'm still hoping to hook up with Mini and Possum for some local wheeling.
  8. Questions should go in the Tech forum. Otherwise it may not be viewed by the persons that may have the answer.
  9. What size tires? City or highway driving? How fast do you go on the freeway? Done a tune up lately?
  10. Yes, yes I did. :D No immediate plans (heck, the next time I'm in Georgia my plan is to push it out of the garage and wash it, then push it back in), but unless something comes up, I'll likely be building it someday to replace the 88 as my wheeler. And it'll never ever touch salt covered roads. EVER! For stickers, see this post: http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9208 And then send me a private message containing what you'd like and where I should send it.
  11. Roger on that. I regularly back up the data and will do do right after I close the forums to new posts.
  12. Be prepared... :hateputers:
  13. How about more of a "profile" shot from the side?
  14. He probably ran out of invisible steel. It's not like it grows on invisible trees, don't ya know. :D
  15. Try to keep all your photos in the one post. Makes it a whole lot easier on us who can't remember the entire history of every single truck. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=12139 I can't move individual posts, so click "edit" and copy your post and re-post it in the right spot. After you do, I'll delete this one for you.
  16. I'd settle for a decent sized picture, but I've gotten no reply from the owner. :(
  17. It's invisible. :D
  18. Can someone get a decent side-photo of the not-smashed side? :brows:
  19. My "limited access" turned out to be "no access", but whatever. I'm back and have a whole lot of posts to read and spammers to delete. But the trip was a success. I've taken possession of my 4th MJ (technically 5th, but one I gave away) and did a lot of seat swapping with JB and Shelbyluv. Pics of my new truck will be up soon, likely tomorrow. Thanks JB! Decals will be based on the CC business card image.
  20. You must have gotten the wrong one I guess.
  21. Going on a whirlwind trip involving family :fool: , beer (Oktoberfest, which technically should be held in Sept), meeting fellow MJers :waving: , and getting to know my newest MJ (anyone got a smilie of a hollowed out shell of an MJ?). And when I return, I should be getting some of the new club logo decals. Yay! :D I should have limited internet access.
  22. I'm betting you weren't the only one. :D
  23. While you're in there, try cleaning out the throttle body with a throttle body cleaner (meaning that it's o2-safe) and a toothbrush.
  24. Front? middle? which ones?
  25. Yup, looks like an XJ to me too. Still needs a club sticker though. :D
