Yes. In fact I read that the front control arm mounts are actually pretty darn close to the MJ/XJ/ZJ/TJ mounts and will work. I can't verify that, it's just what I read online. The rears would need to be cleaned off and leaf perches added. The wheel bolt pattern would be 5 on 5", so you'll need new rims. You'll need the proper flanges for the driveshafts, adapt the brake lines, wire in switches for the lockers, etc.

Fuel injection is controlled by the computer and it does it with input from the sensors. You've got what's commonly referred to as the "Renix" system. It's complex and yet simple, at the same time. A self-ranging multimeter and a repair guide will be your best friends (along with us of course :D ). Don't think of it as "if I had a carb this would be easy". Both systems have good points and bad points. If a sensor goes bad and needs replacing, don't assume it's a cost over and above a carb, because carbs have things that break too. And once you have the fuel injection tuned up, it'll give far better reliability and economy than a comparable carb. It's just an old truck, with old parts, and just like any old truck, it'll need some TLC to get it back to running like new.

Well, its going to the dump sometime tomorrow (what i pulled from under it) and that axel is sittin under my dad's JK I don't think it will be a direct swap from the jk to the Mj, but i am not sure. Different wheel bolt patterns.

I believe it's not the rear driveshaft that's the concern, it's the bearings inside of the t-case. If the case isn't spinning internally, then the oil pump isn't spinning, and then the rear bearings won't get lube. Or something like that.

The output spline count of a Peugeot transmission should be 21 spline As to the clutch, what brand master are you using? I've heard horror stories from guys that bought cheap ones and had to go through a couple to get one that worked. :(

The C-101 is a big funky connector located right above the brake booster.

Then you won't have the big C-101 connector in the engine bay. For all it's troubles, it does make it easier to separate the harnesses.

I also vaguely remember that the book said not to go above X speed or travel farther than X miles. Anyone remember what those numbers were? Or am I remember that there were numbers attached to towing with the front wheels up?

Right now I have a red tailed shark, an upside down catfish, 2 silver colored tetra, an algae eater, and my new loach (Botia kubotai I think). The fish store was selling him for $20. I was fascinated by this outrageous price and asked the lady what makes that little fish worth $20. Does he do any tricks? She didn't have a clue. Nor did the manager. So a few weeks later I went back to buy a $20 fish as my graduation present and he was on sale for $10. :D He and the shark are my favorite fish of all time. Full of personality (although the shark's personality isn't always a pleasant personality as they are quite territorial). That shark is the only fish I've ever had that doesn't fear tapping on the glass. He doesn't even flinch. It's his tank. 8) Oh, and all the non-store metal and plastic "decorations" have been removed. Nothing but rocks (cool rocks though) and a couple tops of broken bottles. The theme I'm going for is a "pond". Something you might be able to find around my neck of the woods. And there is most definitely trash in the waters in my neck of the woods (or at least what woods are left). :roll:

I learned the hard way about starting a tank and limiting the number of fish in it. :( My ignorance left a steady stream of fish carcasses going down the toilet (along with my money). And that doesn't even include the fish lost to conflicting personalities (can sometimes be a big issue when mixing semi-aggressive with community fish). Thank goodness I didn't have the nerve to get any that could eat each other. The big killer in my tanks back in the day was the wild fluctuations in levels of ammonia. Rules of thumb to limit that: -The bigger the tank, the slower any changes will be. -The fewer the fish, th slower any changes will be. Now-a-days the biggest killer in my 30 gallon fresh water tank has been old age and only one fish has died in the last couple years. :D This is an old pic of my 30 gal tank. Since then I've learned about the dangers of leaving metals in the tank, as well as how much of a pain in the butt complex decorations and tons of fake plants are over time. Simpler is better. :D Easier to find the fish, easier to maintain, etc.

While I cannot explain what you've seen Jeepco, the Jeep parts manual, 87 dealership brochure, and searching on car-part.com all agree that all 87 MJs came with the new np-231 t-case. 86 and earlier had the 207. But I'm sure there were probably a few stragglers in 87 where they used up some leftover 207s.

I read it on NAXJA I think. A guy figured out how to do it and posted up his progress. I remember it being more involved than simply finding the right bellhousing. :(

No need to replace the fragile vacuum lines. Just cap them off and then alter the CAD to be engaged all the time. Simple and reliable. :D
