  1. Dang it. TNT beat me to it. :shake: Well, here's the movie poster anyways. :D And my backup for today:
  2. By "2-piece", I think he means the rubber isolator version.
  3. The specific year wasn't all that important in my post. But yeah, any after 94-ish would have the bigger U-joints.
  4. Not really. I just wanted to move the thread to Tech and certain posts were a bit too, uh, off-topic for Tech.
  5. The right ratio? You might be looking for a while if you're waiting for a 99 Dana30 with 4.10s to drop into your lap. I'd jump on that and then look for a cheap Dana 35 or 8.25 with the 3.55 gears. It's better than the crappy 3.07s, that's for sure.
  6. don't' forget that the truck will need to be aligned after any lifting.
  7. 2-door XJ seats tilt forward.
  8. Caster and pinion angle will always be a trade off unless you cut the outer Cs off and rotate them. Not exactly an easy task. I'd probably set the caster to maybe 3*, replace the front driveshaft's forward U-joint if it's not new already (U-joints don't like changes in their operating angles), and call it a day. I do believe caster can be measured off the front diff face. So you should be able to get a close reading from the heads of the diff cover bolts. Also, tech questions should probably be asked in the tech forum so more guys will see it.
  9. Heck yeah! Still lots of life left in that ol' girl.
  10. Oh wow. All that for a loose connector. :ack:
  11. Can you snap a photo of your page in the mag for us? :brows:
  12. What a beauty! Pulled up the carpet yet?
  13. Congrats! Is that an issue that's only available at the store?
  14. -At the search page, on the bottom right side you should see: "Display results as: x Posts _ Topics" Checking the "topics" choice will greatly reduce the number of hits. If I can find a way to make it the default setting I will. In the meantime, you'll have to do it manually.
  15. Been there, done that. But there's no space in my bed for sleepin' anymore. :D Plus I can't count the number of naps I've taken in the the cab back when it was my ride to campus. :smart:
  16. So I don't get to see a giant pile of money? :hmm: :D
  17. Never done it drunk, but I've spent plenty of nights in my buckets. 3 nights of my 3 week trip out west were spent sleeping vertically. :ack:
  18. Do you have a limited slip in it? If not, then it should just be straight gear oil.
  19. If you don't know the date of the last oil change, that sounds like a good place to start.
  20. Shouldn't be a problem to do radius arms depending on where you put the mounts on the body. Even though I hate them, there are aftermarket poly C-bushings out there that will rotate the axle back 7 or 10 degrees to accommodate lifts in the broncos. I bought a set during the buildup, but it turned out I didn't need them. But I ran them long enough to realize they don't allow much flex. I won't eat up your build page with pics of my truck, but there are more photos than you cans shake a stick at here: picturetrail.com/petermontie if you want to see what all I did.
  21. As Dirty said, that might be a challenge if the 44 has the cast-in mounts. Not impossible, but a challenge. How much lift are we talking? I'm at5 or 6 with the Ford arms and they are about level to the ground (just like in a stock 78 Bronco).
  22. That particular truck can't stop fast enough to move a bowling ball around in the bed. :shake: But it's pointless by now. It's likely become a permanent part of the truck through the process of rust-osmosis. :teehee:
  23. I apparently buy a new MJ to fill each need. :D but where's the "storage locker" option? That's all my 86 has done for 4 years now. :shake:
  24. I searched for you as "author", in the "Tech" forum, and viewed results as "topics" (not posts). Then I scrolled down a page or 2 and opened up threads that might have to do with paint. Took about a minute. Could have saved yourself some time by just asking. :D
  25. Going with the radius arms? :brows:
