  1. :waving: Welcome to the addiction. :waving:
  2. no mention of being a CFC.
  3. I've gotten fairly close I guess. It's maybe 18" from the front of the control arm crossmember to the t-case skid.
  4. check that your track bar is nice and tight.
  5. Since I'm stuck up in Michigan till Easter, I might need some help from our Georgia members. The guy is trying to part this beauty out. :fs1: When I emailed asking about buying the truck whole, he said "parts title. parts only". Is there such a thing as a "parts title"? Or is it just a salvage title? Is a salvage title different in Georgia? Here In Michigan it isn't a deal breaker. The truck is 2wd, so it's not like there's a ton of money to be made off it. plus I'd be happy to just leave the drivetrain with him. I'd be replacing most of it anyway. truck seems to be in Dallas GA.
  6. :rotf: Orrrrrrr those are the wrappings I threw on my spare axles shafts and tie-rod. :D
  7. Perches will still need to be moved (and possibly rotated to the proper angle). Have you decided which 5-6" lift you're going with up front?
  8. and illegal in Michigan (and other states I'm sure).
  9. What are you doing for gearing and axle strength?
  10. There's always a slim chance in my little MJ world. :D
  11. sure. someone come over to the house and help me finish up the rear axle swap, the brake booster/master swap, fix that engine or swap it out, install the new gas tank, and then haul it and me to some dirt. :D Til then, driveway shots (sans flares and 33s) are all you're getting. :(
  12. less trimming and fewer headaches. :D
  13. Stock are 5 1/4". High quality speakers and high power amps do more than size.
  14. That's my plan, and the reason I didn't investigate further. No hissing sound from mine. Heck no. The 88 doesn't really go anywhere. Even more so now that the gas tank won't hold gas. :(
  15. 35s only give you 1" more ground clearance.
  16. old setup with stock shock mounts on top of axle. If you drop the mounting point down some more, you can fit a longer shock current setup.
  17. Nothing wrong with 33s. What are you doing for gearing?
  18. either type works fine.
  19. when you figure it out, let me know. my 88 suffers from the same thing.
  20. Yes, it should work. Mid 70s CJ with a 304/manual trans. It's a $2 part.
  21. The CJ has a bushing, not a bearing.
  22. no help here. I forced the stockers to work (too short and too long) and then upgraded to longtravel MX-6 shocks mounted at an angle.
  23. You should be able to measure for compression (minimum length). The axle can only go up to the bumpstops.
  24. where are you putting the shock mounts?
