Has anyone heard of an RE DB kit failing? I guess I'm not willing to say the RE kit is weak until I hear of one failing. out of curiosity, how much lift did you have on the non-BD RE kit before, when the rubber bushings were failing?

What does the RE brace do? does it strengthen the stock control arm mount? cause MJs won't need that.

I get $1300 bucks as a total. do any of those prices include shipping? Seems like you could get a complete kit from Rubicon express or something for that much dough. :dunno: Maybe even a longarm one. And i concur that stock arms should not be reused if at all possible. At the very least upgrade to stock WJ lowers. :thumbsup:

If you get an np-242 you don't have to worry about running in 4wd on dry pavement. :thumbsup:

don't say anything about the 4x4 swap, just mention the lift. Then we'll see how long it takes for her to notice the extra handle in the cab. :D

Not having the space is a concern, but tagging/insuring my trucks cost less than $100 a year (per truck of course). Bring it by my house and I'll store it for ya. :thumbsup:

I just may do that when I get back in town next week. we've done it before to try and get rid of the Common Word Threshold, but with little success. :dunno:

a 4wd swap can be a great opportunity to gain better gearing by swapping both axles. :thumbsup:

87-90 CPSs are not swappable with 91+ CPSs. totally different operating systems. :thumbsup:

I added in a second main leaf (with the eyes cut off) and used them like that for years with no issues. :thumbsup: As long as there aren't any broken leafs. HellCreek sells an AAL that does just that and comes with the appropriate hardware (center pin and retainer straps).

I trimmed mine. just a bit off the arms and a bit off the axle. Got full flex outta it now. :D
