  1. Part number 55003508 or 55005660. This is a long shot I know, but does anyone have a nice (NOS would be nice ) unmolested XJ/MJ dash bezel they would like to sell? Can't find a decent example anywhere. All the ones I've seen have the chrome trim worn off in places. I have a couple of pristine silver w. black trim to trade or will purchase your's outright for top dollar if it's nice. Thanks....
  2. All that's doing is avoiding sales.
  3. Even blown up the pics (2) are only 650 pix. resolution. Why can't these guys put up decent pics of their products? I'd like to see how the mounting details, close-ups of the fitment all around, etc. Makes me think maybe they don't want customers looking too closely.
  4. That was about 13 years ago Tim. Rather than drill out the rivets and physically in the rocker mechanisms, I did a "tape measure" install. Mocked it up, compared with the standard brackets, and it would have raised the existing seat at least 2". I was only an inch away from the headliner as it was, so I passed.
  5. ^^ This. I got a set of XJ rockers with the XJ Laredo seats I pulled years ago. After trying to mount them I came to the same conclusion. They sat too tall for me (I'm a shade over 6") and my head was into the headliner. They would are okay I guess if you're not over ~5'7" tall, or even ~5'9" if you don't have a headliner. I got rid of them...
  6. You need the cable with the single 15-pin male connector on each end? And how long? EDIT: Never mind - must have tossed them long ago. I had none in my "old cable" boxes.
  7. I was responding to the OP.
  8. The OP lives in Sweden. I wouldn't recommend getting rid of it.
  9. I think it's an electrical problem. You can check out the fuel sender potentiometer as the cause for the erratic gauge readings at the three pot slider terminals using an analog ohmmeter. First read the total resistance across the pot (~90 ohms, but not sure on an 86), then across the slider terminal to both pot end terminals while moving the float arm slowly up, then down. The ohmmeter needle should move smoothly and consistently w/o glitches. If all is well, check/clean every terminal connector you can get to between the sender output, through the body harness to the dash gauge.
  10. Home town mayoral election. Kennedy lost in spite of the MJs help.
  11. http://www.cherokee-fr.com/~jeepfamily/AmeriqueNord/USA/MJComan8586/MJComanche8586.htm Not exactly vector drawings, but perhaps you can make these into a .dwg file.
  12. A 232 crank in a 4.0 makes it a mini stroker. It's a bit lighter too so it supposedly spools up faster. Good inexpensive mod...........
  13. And an ugly van at that. The Astro-van team will rule until next season, then the Red Sox will take over.
  14. Really? I really think that would look hideous on an MJ.
  15. Did you get it from BJ's Off-Road?
  16. It's from Maxxima, model number M84427-A. It's for interior use. I got it because the size was right and it puts out a ton of light.
  17. Tapatalk sucks....
  18. For what purpose are these rearward facing lights to be used for? Camping? Off-road at night? I have a bright LED light at the cargo lamp location for illumination in the camper shell. W/o a shell that would be a good place to mount an LED pod.
  19. Good choice.
  20. You can't be sure of the gear ratios by taking as gospel what they should be from the factory. These trucks are all 25+ years old and could have had multiple gear changes or non-original axles. Always pop the cover and look at the R&P gear stampings to be sure. Elastomeric couple? I call it a rubber sheath. In any event Dirty is correct. Don't try to have them shortened. It may or may not work, and most driveshaft shops won't guarantee them as the rubber tends to break down over time and cause vibes. It's best to have a new one made.
  21. Seconded and thirded on the paint job and choice of color. Dark gray metallics go nicely with chrome.
  22. Shortening your existing driveshaft at a local shop (or buying a new one) will be necessary. The driveshaft will be the last thing you do after the t-case 4WD conversion and any lift you might do is complete.
  23. There was great pitching equally by both teams after the second inning. The rest of the game was basically a pitching shutout except for the lone LA run. It was a poor management decision IMO by Roberts to start Darvish after his abysmal showing in game three. I think there will be some changes made in the off-season for the Dodgers.
  24. Quick 2017 World Series game 7 summary: Houston punches LA in the mouth by scoring five runs in the first two innings. LA chokes and dies the rest of the game. In their own ballpark. Pitiful. Congrats to Houston for their first ever World Series win.
