  1. Has anyone ever been "publicly outed" or banned, whatever, from this forum? Been here quite awhile and I can't recall one, unless it was done "unpublicly"; behind the scenes. :hmm:
  2. Not worth searching for. :D Wonder why AMC didn't market the SWB models in 86 then?
  3. Is that a SWB or just camera angle? What a tool.
  4. Sounds like it's time to adapt a Homelink sunvisor or wire your remote to a concealed push-button so the remote won't be rattling around in the console or elsewhere and get ya into trouble. :D I did the latter. But don't feel bad Rich. A couple of weeks ago I started backing out of the garage w/o opening the door. Soon as I heard the crunching sounds I stopped, but not before putting a couple of small dents in the tailgate. The garage door was an easy fix; just removed the damaged panels and pounded them back out straight w. a rubber mallet. :dunce: :grrrr: The worst part was though the wife saw the whole thing.
  5. I replaced my original LCAs w. new WJ LCAs w/o jacking up the truck; just did one side at a time. Also added some shims to correct the caster back to specs. My truck had about 115K miles on it when I did this, and the LCAs were still in good shape. Still running the original UCAs. Just looking at the control arm bushings won't tell you much unless they are completely shot; rubber chunked out, and obvious visible movement causing metal-to-metal contact. Get in there with a crowbar and slide it between the arm and frame and see if it moves freely and you can duplicate the sound. Worn out ball joints can also cause a popping sound - do the same with the crowbar on the knuckles. Sometimes these things are real difficult to find JT.
  6. Friendly words of advice: Think twice about posting stuff like this in a public forum and save yourself some big time possible grief.
  7. Another example of why I never use a "mechanic" if I can possibly do the repair myself. Looks fine and will last a long time. Super recovery work.
  8. Glad I have the AW4. One less thing not to worry about. :D
  9. Home ice leading the way again Jeff. If it continues bad news for the Pens................ EDIT: 5 - zip. The Wings have applied the Pen backbreaker mate.
  10. They're off and runnin'!
  11. If your MJ did not come w. factory fog lights, you will have to add a relay for them. The "other end" of the dash switch wiring is present in the 10-pin left side forward bulkhead connector and you can use this OEM wiring. Send me an email address via PM and I can forward a wiring diagram for your fog/driving light install.
  12. Okay, understand - I think guys. :D My Dad was also a hardhead, and we finally made peace after many many years. I'm sure my kids probably think the same about me now. Such is life.............
  13. Not trying to start a war or badmouth anyone here. I have zero doubts regarding MO's customer support, tech advice, and forum participation, all stellar, and he has helped me out several times in the past. But his prices are hardly "pretty decent"; most always 15%-25% higher than most others I contact. I have found equal if not better support from several other vendors, depending on what you need. One of the best I have used for years is Bob Supplee out in OK. Small shop, best prices and support, and can get anything. 14. Sounds like the boys are trying to your Dad. You should square him away.
  15. Why will it only go in a 91? Should work just fine in any 91-95 OBDI Jeep.
  16. To err is human. To err consistently in your favor is intentional. Hornbrod, 2009 8)
  17. On your 91, it will be a black plastic blimp looking canister, black plastic, about 6" x 3", not a ball. It's tucked up directly under the right side front bumper next to the horn. To access it you have to pull down the splash shield if it's still there.
  18. It's not only Detroit's fan base that's waining, it's the entire NHL hockey fan base, even in Canada. That's why it's on VERSUS; the "major" networks dropped hockey years ago. I grew up in upstate Vermont, we had no football team, just basketball and hockey. Played hockey in high school, although I was a backup goalie because I couldn't skate worth a dayem. :D Today, with the economy and the high schools trying to keep up, one of the first sports they drop is hockey 'cause it's an expensive sport to maintain. But I agree Jeff, this is some of the best Stanley Cup playoff hockey I've watched in many years. But I gotta pull for the original franchise teams that are still hanging in, like Detroit, Chicago, Boston, even Montreal :Canadaflag: .
  19. Unfortunately they will still lose the series if they don't break the Wings home ice advantage Jeff-man.
  20. No sheite. But a lot of folks leave the plate on the ground after pulling the 95-96 booster/master. Really! And definitely agree about re-using the original fittings on the master and combo valve. Speaking about the D44, you know what I'm going to ask Ren. :D Shoot me a PM if you can.
  21. That looks like a poor pic of the the vacuum line connector that plugs on the vacuum reservoir behind the right side front bumper. It also looks like the vacuum line connector that connects to the water control valve in your heater hoses. Like someone said - in what general area did you aim the camera to take this pic??
