One injector in a 1990 2.5L EFI? Don't think so........... The replacement Walbro pumps from NAPA are the same for the 2.5 and 4.0 engines; however the OEM-type Bosch pumps (recommended) carry different p/n's for the two engines, N69301 vs. N69302.

:agree: The entire engine/dash wiring harness, ECU, and TCM needs to go in the MJ. You can keep your OEM fuel pump but if you do not pull the pump and rewire the sending unit potentiometer (easy to do), the gauge will read backwards. :D

Hey Jeff, it's like frigid in the Richmond area compared to here. :D I been waiting for a "cool" day to finally install new front brake pads, rotors, calipers, and lines. Today was the first day it hasn't been over 100 degrees in a couple of weeks (only 97), so I got 'er done after drinking about two gallons of water and losing about 10 lbs. in sweat. But I still like it better than the crap the northern guys go thru every winter. That truly sucks. I'm busy re-hydrating tonight with copious amounts of MHL. :cheers:

I would think one for a 93 and below S10 would almost be a bolt-on for the MJ. There are plenty of these on Fleabay and elsewhere.

According to my parts manual, the 91s only came with the football-looking reservoir. My 91 had the football. These reservoirs have no built-in check valve. I think the ball-type reservoirs did. On the 91 and up, the check valve for the climate control is an inline device located on the vacuum line going thru the firewall to the HVAC controls as show in the pic below in the upper red circle area. If this check valve is missing and/or bad, the vacuum controlling the HVAC doesn't work properly or at all. Since these valves seldom go bad though, I think if you re-install the correct football reservoir and hook it up your problems will go away. :D Image Not Found

Did you replace the instrument cluster then start blowing the fuse, or did it just happen out of the blue? Pull the bulbs one by one from the front parking lights and try it. The bulb sockets shorting out internally is common. -

Since the OP didn't state what year his rig is, I didn't mention the part about pulling the battery cable while the engine is running. Never do this on the 91-92 OBDI HO's; it's an excellent way to fry the ECU.

While I never cared too much for MJ's pop music after he became a teen, he was and will remain a huge icon in the American music industry. He was right up there with Elvis and the Beetles. My all time favorite of his was "Ben"; yes, the rat Ben. :D Unfortunately he'll be remembered more by how badly he conducted his personal life and how he allowed himself to be manipulated and used by the leeches that constantly surrounded him. He was a creative genious, and like a lot of them he was weak. Same way King Elvis was. Dayem shame he had to go out like that.........

What fuse(s) are blowing? When do they blow? -
Check ALL your mains connections on the alternator, battery, starter, and body/frame grounds. Take them apart, clean the connectors up, apply some dielectric grease, and reconnect tightly. Inspect all the charging cables and wiring for burnt insulation and possible shorts. Then fully charge the battery, start her up and measure the voltage across the battery running at an RPM of 1500 or so. You should read at least 13.3 VDC. If not, the alt is probably shot.

That kind of explains it. For some unknown reason people want twice as much for their junk in Alabama as elsewhere. I've seen it time and time again. Even in the junk yards. And I don't know why....... -

Sorry, don't know too much about those engines. You should have a bung hole though in your radiator that will accomodate a temp sensor probe as shown below: -

Great job Brent. When these things happen, there's no thinking involved, adrenalin takes over and you just act. The thinking comes after the fact, like "What the flock did I just do?" :D It's a measure of character; you either act or you don't, fight or flight. Unfortunately most don't as the many examples shown in the media of bystanders watching someone getting mauled by gang bangers and doing nothing. Again, great job mate! :cheers:

I think you meant you grabbed the relay out of the PDC? There's no fan relay in the fuse block. Shoot me an PM email addy and I'll send a wiring diagram that should work in your 91. -
They come up on the strokers forum now and then. Guy down in Louisiana manufactures them; specs are: ~Specifically designed for Jeep 4.6L H.O. 'Stroker' high-torque applications ~Hand brazed turbine and stator fins, inside and out ~All roller thrust bearings (no bronze or composite thrust washers) ~Reinforced pilot with additional welding for added strength ~Special stator and turbine fin angles & clearances for lower stall ratio & higher efficiency than OEM units About $250 w. core.
