  1. That's cool Brent. Guess they domn't want no hippie lookin' freaks working at that sparkling dealership. But you'll grow to like it, especially now in the long hot summer. Particularly in your AO.
  2. Agree w. Pete except the cutoff year for the seat redesign was 1994, although I suspect there was probably some overlap. The 93 and below 2-door buckets, especially from a Laredo or Limited XJ model since they hve the bigger side bolsters, are the easiest swap and are direct bolt-ons to the MJ bucket seat sliders. Mine are from a 2-door 90 XJ Laredo model. Very comfy too. :D
  3. Punk Mayweather would get his hind end kicked bad against AA, even if the Punk has his whole family of thugs in his corner. But since that will never happen, I'm going to leave it up to the Pacman and Freddie to take care of business, just like they did with Oscar and Hatton.
  4. If you're going to go Hella, I'd highly recommend the E-codes over the Vision Plus lamps. I've had both, and H4 bulb E-codes are much brighter than the Vision Plus. Nice sharp cutoff too so if they are aimed right you won't blind oncoming traffic. http://www.rallylights.com/detail.aspx?ID=744
  5. Kewl Jim, so it is doable. Thanks, I'll give it a go tomorrow.
  6. Yep, I just want to remove/replace the cable. It's real tight under there and I can't see how it hooks up on the bellcrank. FSM is no help either.
  7. Quick question: Anyone ever remove the hood release cable from where it terminates at the bellcrank under the hood w/o drilling out the rivets and removing the bellcrank? Is it possible? :dunno: :dunno:
  8. Yeah Bob - I used to have a good memory too. :( I'm going to have to start bookmarking stuff I think I might need later like you do mate.
  9. They are some improvement, been there, but if wired through relays, elimating the voltage drop from the too small AWG OEM wiring, only then they will be a BIG improvement.
  10. Above and beyond Fiat.
  11. Dayem Bob, how do you find this stuff? I knew someone posted a pic of this, I did a search, zip zero. What do you do; file this stuff away w. titles for quick future reference?
  12. That pump worked just fine in my 91, according to my mechanic. I didn't put this one in as I left on a trip had my mechanic do it. I purchased this same pump from NAPA and he said he had no problems putting it in over four years ago. According to NAPA's page there was a VIN change in 92 that might require a different number Bosch pump? I don't know. However, my factory parts manual makes no mention of this and lists all 91-93 XJ and MJ fuel pumps as part number 4637192, about $250 at the dealer. If you do get one at the dealer, please post some pics as to what the difference is.
  13. That's one of the few MJ's I've seen that would look real good w. dual stacks - in hi-temp camo or flat black of course. :D

    86 MJ on Ebay

I hesitate to post this, but this "Commanche" has many many parts that a lot of CC forum members are looking for, including the whole truck. Apologize if I upset a members bid. Click HERE. If I was closer, I'd snag it.
  15. That's great Taz. You'll be happier there, and so will we! How far's the commute?
  16.
  17. Yeah, PPV sucks and I do understand. It's big business now much like other major sports. I had a few fights as a youngster several centuries ago and basically got my a$$ kicked in all except my first 4-rounder, and it didn't take long to realize there had to be a better way to make a living. But I have been a huge boxing fan all my life. The only PPV I will do is when Manny Pacquio fights, because he's a distant relative of the wife, he always fights his heart out, and I had the pleasure of meeting him several times in the Philippines long before he became the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. And he still hasn't changed much. The UFC and the other variations are IMHO trash sports. But Arguello was a true all-time great, an honorable man, and I mourn his passing a hell of a lot more than an MJ. Sorry for the soapbox.
  18. There's no way (that I know) to remove a rolled pin w/o leaving a hole on both sides of the knob. I use a leather punch the same size as the rolled pin on the "no hole" side of the knob to make a nice round hole, then use a drift punch the same size of the rolled pin to carefully drive out the rolled pin. If you're really a detail freak, you can use a vinyl patch kit to cover one of the knob holes before reinstalling, but I never bother. :D
  19. Jeesh! Doesn't ANYBODY like boxing on this forum? AA was one of the truly best from the late 70's - early 80's. Bunch of youngsters; probably before your time.
  20. Coming from someone who thinks hockey is basketball your comment is completely understandable. :shake:
  21. Perhaps the greatest lightweight boxer of all time. Went on after boxing to become the Mayor of Managua, Nicaragua last year. Supposedly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Sandinistas. I remember Arguello destroying the likes of Ruben Olivares, Afredo Escalera, Bobby Chacon, Boom Boom Mancini, I mean knocking them cold! First fighter I've ever seen knock someone out with a body shot. The 5'10" thin Alexis had a rocker launcher in his right had that exploded. His two fights with Aaron Pryor were epics; one was the fight of the decade. And I was lucky to see that one in person. Yet unlike most of today's obnoxious fighters, he was a humble and caring individual. Therein is the true loss to the sport, his skills as a boxer and as a human being. RIP AA, Three-Time World Champion. This is sadder to me than all the recent deaths lately.
  22. Not quite. :D It's a 4.6 stroker and at the last dyno run w. the new 99+ curved intake and tuned Unichip was 261.1 HP @ 4400 RPM, with torque at 312.8. Peak torque was 345 @ 3500 RPM. W/o the 25%-30% power loss of the AW4 peak HP would be well over 300.

  24. :rotf: Freekin' hilarious! :rotf: Is that Richard Pryor dancing in the background?
  25. One injector in a 1990 2.5L EFI? Don't think so........... The 1990 4-cylinder was still a Renix-based throttle body system with one injector. The 2.5L was updated to the multi-port Chrysler system in 1991, the same year the 4.0L was changed over to the Chrysler system. Crap - I did not know that Eagle, thought the MPI was incorporated earlier on the 2.5L's. My apologies Geonovast. So what about the 2.5L fuel pump? Think it might work w. the 91 HO 4.0L after seeing the NAPA 1990 results? Guess I could cross the two Bosch pumps and check their output pressures and GPM specs.
