  1. Absolutely nothing. Still waiting for the correct all-Wagner front disk brake parts to completely redo the front brakes from the idiots at O'Reillys. Chronological history: They ordered two right side calipers (3-times), ordered the wrong rotors twice (4WD instead of 2WD), got the wheel bearings right, but flocked up the inner seals. Almost three weeks now..........
  2. Good points all. I'll still stick w. the OME's though.
  3. Why not? Cali is dying economically and it would fit right in w. the lifestyle. Might as well let the state reap some of the bene's unless it ends up in some politico's pocket, which it prolly will. 8)
  4. IMNSHO, the short bed is better for off-road obviously because of the shorter wheelbase; other than that it's all disadvantages.
  5. Carlton. I have one of their smaller "walk behind" Kohler 27-HP models similar to this one: Went into business with a friend a few years ago; I financed, he does the house calls. :D It's paid for itself many times over. But with that stout trailer you're building CW, your bro-in-law must have one of the much larger 4-wheel "self propelled" models. Wish we did.
  6. Complete with power and wing-winders. WTF are these Rob?
  7. Yeah, but I want the remote reservoirs. :brows: If I can't get them, I'll stick w. the OME's.
  8. Thanks for the feedback all. Damn, wish I had bought them when they were on sale. "Out of Stock" now. :fs1:
  9. Yeah, I checked out a lot of the adjustable TB's before I purchased to get the front axle back on center, including the MO offerings (thanks Alex). I liked the TeraFlex because it didn't require a disconnect to adjust, its real beefy, and it'll handle more lift if I ever go there. Let us know what you find out from Rough Country Wahoo.
  10. Agree maybe for the 4-speeds, but the AX15 5th gear ratio is 0.79; the AW4 O/D is 0.75. Still say it's the best overall performance vs. mileage setup Taz-man.
  11. Carve the above in stone (or at least bookmark it). :D Exactly right, best all-around tire size/gear ratio setups. If you shop around, you can get a genuine Dana gear set and master rebuild kit for about $300; Yukon sets for maybe $50 less shipped. A reputable shop that specializes in re-gearing down here typically charges about $200/axle labor. There's a famous state-wide-known good old boy out of Birmingham who travels around the state on a semi-fixed schedule to various dealerships, 4WD shops, etc. and all he does is Dana diff regears, mostly Jeeps, and is always busy. That's ALL he does, he is very good, and has a 100% no questions asked guarantee. That's the type of tech you need to find, not some local yahoo who brags a lot. Ask me how I know.
  12. Rough Country says on their web site: • Part #: 7571 [XJ / 4"]. Why don't you just call them to be sure mate? I don't think you have enough lift to use it. http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep_xtras_trac-bar.html
  13. That was nice to see the calf saved by it's elders. Looks like the lions survived too. Don't mess with Cape buffaloes. Mean Mofos. :D
  14. Definitely sounds like a positive endorsement. :D Anyone else?
  15. Aye, good ole Taxxachusetts. Some things never change. :D
  16. For all those who purchased and installed the above when they were on sale, how have they worked out? Yea or nay?
  17. Especially for all you folks north of the Mason - Dixon: HERE
  18. Another example from Ala, 1988 Jeep Comanchee/Cherekee Headlight and assembly HERE:
  19. Err, not tonight after seeing that. Maybe after a few more beers though. :beerhead: Seriously though, after snapping an axle on a relatively slow takeoff w. the stroker, I've have been looking, looking, looking for a reasonably priced D44 for quite awhile. But I need 4.11 gears, impossibly hard to find. The D35 needs more respect. While not the best/strongest axle, it's certainly not the worst either. Sooner or later I'll find one so I can re-install my Explorer disks easily w. just new backing plates.
  20. Don't know anything about the Rough Country adjustable track bar, but yeah Wahoo, I'd say that's a good price. Maybe others who have experience w. this product will chime in.
  21. Very clever Barker-wannabe-man
  22. What does this have to do with the topic? It's getting tiresome.
  23. Someone bought it - anyone here?
  24. Hey Dirt-man, they do go bad, but not often, as you well know. :D Had some slop in my 91, so instead of getting a stock replacement, I replaced the stock box w. a 96 ZJ quick ratio box; 14.1 steering ratio vs. stock 12.7 for the ZJ box. One of the best mods I've done. Any 93-98 ZJ box has this same ratio, and is a bolt-in re-using your XJ/MJ Pitman arm.
  25. Still difficult to see exactly what you have done. Here's the writeup (start on page 2) I did using two OEM 10-blade 1997+ puller aux fans to cool my stroker. Each pulls 1500 CFM and this setup has been working very well for me. http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=8342&start=15
