  1. What year, what engine, what tranny, etc. etc.? And why aftermarket?
  2. Requested your presents or presence? In your case I'd suspect lil cuz wants your gifts more than to see your face. And don't worry about the Taz-man. He's got other gigs goin' on IB sure.
  3. Yeah, I have to admit most of the Chinese stuff is making leaps and bounds quality-wise. But where else could it go but up? :D The real good junk now comes from India. The Russians are even producing decent products now in some areas. After WWII the Japanese produced the most gawd-awful junk in the world, now look at them. And the so-called quality masters of the world, including us and Germany, are sliding the opposite way. It's all cyclic.
  4. Hey, that's great Brent. Really, I wish you the best of luck mate. They'd be gettin' a super employee if this works out for you bro.
  5. I had a hell of a time getting mine thru the coil wraps. The OME coils have 12 wraps and I had to use a crowbar to open two wraps wide enough while at the same time trying to squeeze the new bumpstops thru. But all that matters is that you got 'er done. :D
  6. I recently replaced mine and used some huge channel locks I had on the metal top of it inserted thru the springs while the suspension was hanging. I did douche it down well with PB Blaster the night before and they screwed right out. But you may have to soak it longer mate if it's rusted good. :D
  7. Well, not chrome per se Drahcir495, more like natural aluminum. :D No chrome anywhere, except on some of the hardware nuts and bolts. As far as the SS 88XJSport, you'll have to take that up with Mama. She loves her rig, so I doubt it's going to happen.
  8. First, thanks dakal - finally found someone older than I! Except for maybe Eagle. :D Thanks for your nice post, straight to the point. I have read and will heed. pantera1973, great looking ride! I especially like the springer fork. That "cool cantilevered rear rack" was added by moi only to easily carry a couple of cases of beer home. :D My old Phat also has Al rims and s/s spokes, but the rims were painted black and it took less than six months at Kwaj for the salt to get under the paint and peel it off. It's natural Al now. :D It also has a Shimano Nexus 7 hub w. coaster brake. Looks like your Della Cruz is a single speed? You can usually pick up one of these Nexus hub 26" wheels w. hub on Ebay reasonably. Easy bolt-in job. Really helps out huffing it up all those hills.
  9. Thanks CW, JT, and Jim. I got this Phat bike while stationed in Kwajalein as it is one of the world's most corrosive environments. The bike is all alum or stainless. The salt permeates everything year round. A POS steel Huffy or Schwinn bike has a lifespan of just over a year before the frame breaks in half and/or the spokes rot out. A brand new MJ would last about three years there. They even have to use s/s rebar in the buildings and runway as the normal steel rebar rusts out and the concrete buildings start dropping pieces of themselves on people's heads. Great fishin' though CW. 800# marlin are little guys there. Used to love catchin 40+ pound mahi-mahi and ono on 20# test. :D Great eating too. I've always eaten lots of fish and chicken w. fresh vegtables and have no problem w. that. No weight problems either. My problem is the brew. We'll see how all looks next month when I go back to the Doc.
  10. The Mopar p/n is 5300 4562. Dorman makes an aftermarket replacement, #16672. RockAuto carries them among others. http://www.rockauto.com/dbphp/mfr,DORMAN,Transmission-Automatic,8528,Shift%2BCable
  11. Went to the Doc this week and the results were not good. The Cholesterol and Triglyceride readings were off the scale. Doc says I need to lower my carb intake and get more exercise. So I switched to Miller High Life Light (uggg) and dug out my old 7-speed Phat cruiser. This used to be my car when we lived on Kwajalein Island (no real cars allowed) and had been packed away for over twenty years. Put some new tires, tubes, and fenders on, cleaned and lubed it up, and she still runs well. It's all aluminum, very light, and easy to peddle. Now if I can just stick with it....... :D Image Not Found

  13. Aye - that it does.

  15. Just another sign of the declining times we live in Taz. Sigh............. BUT, all is not lost. I just got notification of a one-time windfall cash payment coming to me this month under Obama's American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. This payment is for a grand total of 250.00 dineros, TAX FREE!! What am I going to do with all that money? What a sad freeking joke............. I thought only "old people" qualified for the $250 thing...oh wait....never mind...
  16. Super Excellent find! Have you opened up the 91 D44 to check the gear ratio?

  18. So, I propose a "time out" for a couple members until they graduate from the 7th grade. I'm tired of wasting time reading this :bs: And trying to read the form. Enough is enough........and this is way over due  Any other comments???? I've been biting my tongue and holding back commenting on these two retards Bob. They are not the only ones either, but perhaps two of the worst. I don't post nearly as much as before because of all the infantile jerks on here now. This is getting worse than Pirate because of jerks like these two, and YES, DAMN STRAIGHT I'VE GOT YOUR BACK MATE!
  19. The bro-in-law actually works as a sales rep out in ARB's WA office, and can ship me new stuff should the need arise - hasn't yet. I have OME shocks and front coils, and would have their rear leaf spring packs too if they made them for our MJs. The freekin' ride and handling is better than new stock. As far as TeraFlex I use their adj. track bar (Know you don't like these), shackles, and disk brakes. All good stuff for my street rig. Hey, everyone has differing opinions on who makes quality stuff, and I don't and won't use junk on my truck. Sounds like you are the same way CW. But unfortunately, good quality products cost more than the "overseas" junk a lot of the vendors sell nowadays. Like Lee at Hesco says: "Speed (or quality) costs money".
  20. No sheite Sherlock. And that's AUSTRALIA, not AUSTRAULIA!!! (using your quotes). I've had lots of dealings with OME; my bro-in-law works for them and I get their stuff at cost! And since he's there, I have no worries mate about OME standing behind their products. :D But I'd most likely buy from BDS or some another US based company like TeraFlex (I like their products too) if this weren't the case for me.
  21. No, O.M.E. followed by BDS. :D After almost four years - zero sag. But they are both excellent.
  22. Hmmm. That version of side decals is not even shown in my MJ Manual, only the hockey stick style for the Pioneers. Might just be a dealer installed trim like mine is. :D
  23. OME 3' HD front coils.
