  1. Did you order the Mopar cable? They last longer..
  2. You looking for the dash gauge polished trim rings too?
  3. Very cool and good info. It's always a good day when you learn something new.
  4. Me too. Got them from an 89 XJ Laredo.
  5. Yes, that pretty red Baldwin filter is huge. I use it too, SAE 3/4-16 threads.
  6. That's how the factory plumbed them (on the return line) and how I did mine too.
  7. No, they are not the same. One is for a short bed (SWB), the other a long bed (LWB). Different cables - different lengths.
  8. You made me look Wade. I found this pic of a 91 Elim interior with the same seats. I thought these gray tweed seats were phased out in 1990. So, I was obviously mistaken. Did you send an offer for the Detroit Eliminator? If so, hope you get it. https://poctra.com/1991-JEEP-COMANCHE-ELIMINATOR/id-AhXy1nKT3MFVtp0m/ATLANTA-GA
  9. ^^ This. The gear guts are the same as any other D44. I used an Isuzu Trac-Lok carrier in my MJ D44 when I had it regeared. As far as 5:13s and up, I don't know.
  10. Then your's was AFU. You can disconnect the arm and wire it in any position and still have rear brakes. Do you think the factory would put a valve on the rear supply that could shut off the rear brakes?
  11. Laredo seats, but looks great, especially for a northern truck.
  12. This is BS. The "rear flow" never gets shut off no matter what position the LSV arm is in.
  13. If SWB: https://www.ebay.com/p/Parking-Brake-Cable-Front-Crown-52003192-fits-87-89-Jeep-Comanche/222990698 If LWB: https://www.ebay.com/p/Parking-Brake-Cable-Front-Crown-52003190-fits-87-92-Jeep-Comanche/222771174
  14. If I had to pick a word, or two, they would be out (oot) and about (aboot). But that's just natural from any Canadian I've ever talked to. I've always been curious if there are widely different accents in Canada throughout the provinces like there are here in the States. Like someone from Maine can hardly communicate with someone from rural Alabama. Do you guys in Canada have similar differentiating accents?
  15. P/n for your 89 4.0 is 83501425. HERE and elsewhere...
  16. The radiator should be replaced or at minimum professionally rodded out by a good shop and flow tested. The passageways are probably clogged nearly shut as old as it is, especially as it's been parked and not running for all those years.
  17. How old is your radiator?
  18. I had one of those MSD Blaster coils for awhile; it only lasted about six months before the primary windings shorted out. I attributed it to engine heat because mounting the it on the side of the block with no insulation to protect it was less than ideal. Consider moving it to a cooler location to extend it's life, like to the shock tower. https://comancheclub.com/topic/51677-9192-mj-premature-ignition-coil-failure-fix-relocation/?tab=comments#comment-526360
  19. Nice clean job dressing out the spark plug wires.
  20. I'd like to criticize something, but found nothing to bash Dirty. Both the audio and video was crisp and clear, the pace of the vid was steady and consistent, and it held my interest all the way through, which is rare. Excellent job building the bumper and documenting it. You are very skilled in both.
  21. Damn - wish I'd seen this yesterday...
  22. Bummer on the Notch flares. On their web site they show a close-up of a red MJ with their flares installed. The notches, especially on the rear flare, look perfect.
