  1. Years ago when I put electric windows in, I used a kit from Electric Life, linked below. I used them because a member here, Gjeep, had used them and really liked their operation and quality. They are made in Italy and are a lot faster than the Mopar regulators as the motors are larger. I've had them in for ten years now and they are still going strong - highly recommended. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/eli-je01-k
  2. And no, you can't use a regulator from an HO - different animal. If it's not the o-ring (try that first), and you need a new regulator, here's a link to shop around from: http://www.amazon.com/Crown-Automotive-83503635-Fuel-Regulator/dp/B009X1W3ZM
  3. I had a set of ZJ chromed wheels early on and used them for about 4-5 years. No problems at all. Of course, I'm not in the rustus-maximus belt either......
  4. Yep - the solenoids are okay. TCU time...........
  5. Disconnect the firewall connector and check the three solenoid coils with an ohmmeter (pins E, F, and G to pin B-Ground) on the transmission side, especially S2, for ~15 ohms. If S2 is open it won't shift into second or third gear. Image Not Found http://comancheclub....-into-4th-gear/ http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1053970
  6. Excellent! A great low mileage MJ to begin with that you made even better by keeping and improving it's originality. A very refreshing build to see. Man, that's too bad what the Purple Power did. That stuff must be really caustic.

    ROLL TIDE!

Si Pete. I enjoyed the game of course, but you're right, the Tide D ruled tonight. I was actually pulling for State to score a field goal at the end to avoid a shutout. Saban pulled his first string out about midway through the forth quarter, or it might have been a 50+ point or more shutout. I was concerned about Mich State, but the way it went, I can't see Clemson giving Bama any problems.
  8. There were two versions of this wheel offered from the factory: P/n 52000025, Dull, Rough Finish in Circle Area, and P/n 52002735, Smooth, Glossy Finish in Circled Area The "circled area" referred to the outer rim area between the spokes, and the 52002735 wheel was polished alloy, not chrome. I've never seen them, and can not even find a picture of them. But, according to the parts manual, they were available on pre-1987 XJ and MJ models. If that's what you want, you'll have to DIY or bring an "as cast" set of wheels to a specialized shop. Read $$$ maximus..........

    ROLL TIDE!

31 - zip Bama, end of the third quarter. :clapping: What you might call a laffer.

    ROLL TIDE!

Well, Clemson just beat the crap out of Oklahoma and the Bama - Michigan State game is just starting. Good to know we'll be playing Clemson for the national championship on the 11th.
  11. Nevermind................
  12. HERE. Might be worth checking out........
  13. Makes sense. The 86 and 87-92 step bumper brackets had different p/n's, so the bulge must be the difference.
  14. Did you ever get this hitch mounted up Jim?
  15. Shop around using the part number. http://www.amazon.com/Dorman-520-320-Control-Arm/dp/B001KQ43AG/ref=sr_1_10?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1451579165&sr=1-10&keywords=52088217AB
  16. Sno-Bug.
  17. It's mumble-meters and the same as a Peugeot.
  18. What year/model is your truck? You should edit your signature and put that info in.
  19. Fixed it. Too many AW4 threads at the same time..............

  22. What this means is that the problem is most likely electrical, not mechanical since it shifts normally manually. Before trying another TCU, eliminate the obvious first. Look at the AW4 wiring harness and all connectors between the transmission and the TCU, especially the one on the firewall. The three AW4 internal solenoid(s) that control shifting from the TCU could also be bad. You can ohm them out at the firewall connector. This thread will be useful: http://comancheclub.com/topic/47262-does-not-shift-into-4th-gear/?hl=solenoid&do=findComment&comment=482315
  23. Yes they are.
  24. That's what my belt routing book says for 87-89 2.5 w. air. maybe the 90 is different; I don't have that one. maybe someone else will chime in...
