  1. Swapped in the group 34 battery and the headlight buckets from my parts 96 xj. Still trying to get in to a shop to evac the ac system so I can yank the dash. Ordered a xj brake proportioning valve so i can swap in the WJ booster. Lined up the perches on my 8.8. Seems awefull close to the caliper?
  2. I would take a set of mounts. either DIY or fabbed

Ive had great luck with Napa Batteries and Duralast Gold's. Been hit or miss with Interstate. Napa has a rebate program going on right now.
  4. welp.....cracked heater core. nice green puddle on my floor liners. Guess she's gonna sit in my garage till the weather warms up and I can rip out the Dash and replace it.
  5. those websites are sketchy. You are better off to simply call your local JY or browse craigslist for a parts rig
  6. try swapping sides. the cabs are not straight.
  7. been unseasonably dry here. just a few dustings. This usually means a very cold february and a wet spring. we shall see. Might be getting up in to the mountains earlier than May 15th this year if it stays this dry.
  8. Spill the Beans on those braided lines for the WJ booster. Where did you get em? Did they come with the correct fittings already on them for the MJ dist block?
  9. Yea i cringed when i watched the walk around video. the guys got skills i'll give him that.
  10. I have to say, i was pretty impressed with Napier flares. i smacked em against some trees, stood on them, etc. and they witheld. Thought about doing them again, but i just ordered a set of Dirtbound metal flares.
  11. How about this coming march!
  12. added mine, Only one in Wyoming
  13. It all comes down to how much work you want to do, and how much wiring you want to mess around with. The 2.5 is a punchy little engine, and very reliable. If you are going to rebuild it, look into a bore and stroke while you are at it. a couple folks on here have done it and love the results. Of course you can swap in an ecotec, but you are still sitting with a 4 cylinder and having to adapt the renix harness to the ecotec controls. your best bet if you are dead set on yanking the little 2.5 is to find a donor cherokee with a 4.0, and just swapping everything over. it will be cheaper and easier in the long run.
  14. saving up for 35's I really want to throw that 8.8 under there, but I'm hesitant, because then i would have to regear both axles immedietally to drive it. if i just keep the 8.25 under it i can still get by with my 3.55's for another year.
  15. Its got a chry 8.25 out of a 97 XJ. I also have a ford 8.8 sitting in my shed....but it has 3.73 gears, and i kinda need 4x4 over the winter. I'm torn haha.
  16. Got my SOA gear in. hoping to weld er on next week
  17. drag that baby home and give her some lovin ! That's a straight looking Eliminator. 4.0's and Chry 8.25's are a dime a dozen and even to rebuild them with an HO block is nothing.
  18. Anyone running 315/75/16's or 35/12.5/17's? I am torn between the two sizes. I can get the 315's for about $200 cheaper for wheels and tires as a set. As much as i despise 17" rims on a off road rig, it seems it is my easiest gate way to 37's in the future.
  19. I'm in Love
  20. Installed some 11.5" travel bilsteins last night. Should be more than enough for the 3 link. Once i get the 35's on it, ill measure for bumpstops. it appears ive got about 7" of uptravel as it sits. Also traced the rear brake line spaghetti bowl in prep to delete the height sensing valve.
  21. Here is a Reference Photo. I spent the Evening tracing lines to make sure i had them correct before performing the operation.
  22. Maybe these will Help folks. i spent the Evening tracing lines from the Distribution block to the rear axle.
