  1. Got to love Chrysler... Glad my sh*t is AMC haha.
  2. You know, it's the opposite order for me on my '88 XJ... The A/C relay is all the way on the left in mine and the O2 is the far right... Same with my '90 XJ donor. What's up with that? Edit - Like so:
  3. Try "NAXJA".
  4. Although I love me some Google and technology, I can totally agree. People give away too much info by themselves, let alone this kind of stuff. It's one of the reasons I got off of Facebook.
  5. I know this isn't an MJ, but this truck is unique (if you go by the fail-tastic ad). 4.7 cylindars? That's a new one haha. Never heard of a truck being a "4 door sedan" either... http://raleigh.craigslist.org/ctd/3973565507.html 4.7 Cyl. 2011 RAM 1500 - $25488 (Clayton) 2011 RAM 1500 - $25,488 VIN: 1D7RV1GPXBS666474 Cylindars: 4.7 Model: 1500 Trim: LE 4dr Sedan 6A Condition: Used Color: Bright Silver Metallic Mileage: 21,629 Miles

  8. Traditionally, you're supposed to change out the condensor, compressor and core when going to R-134a from what I've been told. I don't necessarily think that's needed, but you will be better off at the very least getting an O-ring kit and replacing those old ones in each of the lines' fittings. Then, get it charged to the recommended amount of refrigerant (R-134a in this case, obviously) and you should be golden. You can also have a shop put in some UV dye to help with leak detection later on down the road in the event your refrigerant gets low again. One thing I forgot to mention previously... Have you verified that the compressor is indeed working? Like I mentioned before, it sounds as though your A/C clutch relay is working, but do you notice a slight drop in RPM's and/or a slight loss in power when you turn it to A/C? If not, that would be a pretty good indication that your compressor when out. Would be a good time to do those O-rings since you'd be disconnecting lines anyway...
  9. That faint clicking noise you hear is the A/C clutch relay snapping on when you applied power via that slider switch. My guess is that you've run fairly low in coolant and there's not enough in there now to make the clutch want to come on. There's an expansion tank with the system's pressure switch that determines when to kick the compressor on. Have the system charged and see if it begins working again. If not, then it could be that the pressure switch went bad. Sounds like you have power every where else that's needed.
  10. The MJ leaf springs are longer eye to eye than XJ's. Have you considered making a bastard pack using leaves from an S-10 or Dakota?
  11. That's not normal, no. Re-bleed and if that doesn't work, the MC may be on its last leg (assuming you got it used).
  12. The '95 - '96 XJ boosters are more ideal for this swap since the booster's rod length is pretty much spot on. The '97 - '01s are longer, thus the reason for wanting/needing the pedal assembly. The master cylinders are the same, however, for all '95 - '01s. See if you can get your hands on a '95 - '96 booster and sell or trade yours.
  13. That second one must have one hell of a crank and camshaft in it... I've heard of a 5.0 stroker, but damn, that's some smokin' strokin'. People are idiots. I'd email all three of them just to make a fool of out of them but I'm far too tired at the moment haha..
  14. 360k miles? She's barely broken in... ;) Now this guy's Jeep... now we're talking lol. http://www.allpar.com/old/high-miles/richey.php
  15. Haha, yea. I thought that was kind of ironic. :laughin:
  16. Anyone else notice that "problems" is missing an "L" on the 'Forum probems or website ideas' sub topic?
  17. Picked up some turbine rims today and a NP242 a few days ago. Going to paint the rims black and put some different meat on 'em.
  18. Hahahaha, nice! :rotfl2:
  19. I have a better idea... Figure out how those little bastards keep getting into your XJ to begin with and prevent further nests from being built lol. And keep a couple set mouse traps in the blower box so if they do get back in, you'll know it.
  20. Joe Diffie... I forgot about him lol.
  21. IIRC, everything after '90 is 23 spline. http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/np_nvg_input_gears.htm
  22. Maybe it was you that I saw lol. That short bed I saw was red. I was in the Cary area around 5:15pm yesterday but I don't recall what road as I'm not too familiar with that area. I was driving my XJ.
  23. So, yesterday, I drove out to Cary, NC from my home in Clayton, NC. I was on the way there to pick up a NP242 transfer case for my MJ that I've been working on. So, as I was driving there, I saw not one, not two, but three different Comanches. Two long beds and one short bed. The first one I was traveling along side for a while on I-40. It was blue and in pretty good shape. The other two I passed somewhere in Cary, but they were not in the best of shape. One was most definitely a work truck. Crazy enough, as I type this, I just remembered that I passed a black long bed on the way to DMV yesterday morning right in my home town. So, 4 MJs in a matter of 10 hours. That's pretty good where I live. Anyway, just wanted to share. I hope maybe there's a couple of the owners on this forum. I'd love to meet local owners and talk MJs and Jeeps.
