  1. did you try putting in a new fuse that can handle more amps?
  2. yes up here, if the wood is sturdy there are plenty of places that will put a sticker on your truck. btw, i have grinded near open gas and not had problems.
  3. hmm... lets learn something here. bolt the plywood to the rails, strap the tanks down with tow straps. i believe thats how chevy did it for a very long time. also gas does not explode unless it is under pressure. so if it would end up falling off, sliding, making a hole in the top, the cables stayin on. it would in worst case scenario just burn gas, and that wouldnt last too long. plus i think you wouldnt notice if your gas tank fell off yorr bed
  4. plywood and tow straps should work great
  5. ahahaha awesome. on this topic, 4runners with fat kids to wheelies yeah lights and fender are a bit of a problem. gas tank? who needs those?
  6. youhave no right to talk about cold weather. its been damn cold here
  7. the only difference i may see is axle spline count. even if it dosent work you learned hte fun way and you can sell the lockers
  8. changing the freeze plug while the motor is still in the truck. bad idea, its a PITA and if its not leaking then don't sweat it.
  9. 4.10 is plenty. my friend ran 3.11s or something with an auto 4.0 and it would burn the tires all day long on brand new tar with 31's
  10. for the connecting rods... i would just get new ones to be honest with you. no point in running the risk of used connecting rods. if you are going to use stock ones i would use a dremel and clean them up and remove any hard edges EXCEPT around the bearings
  11. a spool? who cares even so, mud tires don't last on the road that long anyway
  12. we get them from napa or robbins. i talked to a guy at advance auto and he claimed that advance and vip get there parts from the same dealer.
  13. grab a test light and start following the lines
  14. no xj AAL are shorter. almost anybody will sell chevy drop shackles. i would NOT order them online. nape or robbins ring a bell for up in NH
  15. wow makes me hate dealerships even more
  16. tripple angle valve job
  17. maybe if you bought like 3 or 4 of them, youd make a difference
  18. don't sweat it
  19. isnt the shackle sosposed to be 90 with the ground when no extra weight is added?
  20. yes, as long as you don't make big puddles when you weld. it works best when you use small welds on top of/next to eachother. yes quite reliable, as a DD? think of it this way, when your taking off around a turn and the inside tire squeals, when is welded its always gonna squeal, and when you stand on it it will go sideways much much faster, oh and 2 wheel burnouts every time
  21. alright so then its like 6.5" or better, once you get to that high you a bunch of things to look into.
  22. if that dosent solve it, drain your tranny fluid and then put new stuff in
  23. well yes, you would have net +5'' and then youd be riding dirrrrtyy
  24. Umm... It is a V6. He said the truck's carb was unhappy with him. Look at the quote above. The only motor used in the Comanche that had a carburetor in 1986 is the 2.8L V6. So it must have a 2.8L V6 in it if he's talking about carburetors. Also, his one video does say 2.8L V6 exhaust on it and the other one says 2.8 Comanche. repeat after me; JOKE, JOKE, JOKE
