  1. oh sure just do it
  2. yeah weve got about 2 inches in one hour up here in New Hampshire . i use soft rubber lines, people use harder ones. imho it don't matter. use what works
  3. yeah id say so, new sensor. i was spinning I'm nud with my friends and suddenly the guage went from 180ish to bouncing off the little stopper and then i hopped in the passenger street (town road no license at the time) and the rad blew right there. you wouldnt want that to happen to you.
  4. how hot are you running?
  5. oh it aint that bad. get some steel, weld it behind the rust and apply bondo!
  6. a guy up the woods from me runs in maine mug bog assc. and he was a 350-->TH400-->NP205 and he runs in 3rd gear so id say a th400 is better. plus you have more selectable ranges and better effiency
  7. if you get a 700R4 plan on staying up at night not knowing if your tranny will break. my friend has blown a handfull up. a TH350 with a NP205 run by a 4.3 will bring you where you need to go. it is possible to build 4.3's up and make them pretty darn sick. my frind had a sanoma with a 5 speed powered by a 4.3 and it would burn tires all day... not sure if that means anything to you though
  8. whered you get a 4.3 out of all that?
  9. yes it does and no it dosent. the EGR helps keep the fuel/air mixture from separating and turning into a liquid. EGR for street use is better than no EGR. for off road use, uild or buy a block off plate. EGR allows for a smoother idle and mettter effiency and more power believe it or not.
  10. yeah ive fixed 2 antennas on an XJ with the same problem. the wire which looks like a black cable tv wire, may be hiding so get a flashlight and take a good look
  11. :agree: you may have dirty injectors. or a dirty air filter. i would say get injector cleaner and clen them out real good and see what happens. BUT, before you do anything run your tank of gas to empty and fill her up somewhere different, quite possible you have bad gas.
  12. haha my mom had a 79 Z28 with that setup. it was a car that lived its life in Peabody mass so it was like a required thing to have, well that and it had a 2speed with a built 355 so people were all over it. i believe she ahd a cobra alarm system. the doors could be open and the key in the ignition and it could still go off.
  13. agreed. worst comes to worst, 3 link with a tube-ed "bed"
  14. to local buisness!
  15. yeah its the grany tranny, my trucks got one. beware! to shift into L (the real first gear) you have to be at a stop or dang near close. btw, i have 2.55s or something along those lines and I'm running 31's, I'm at 3k at 60mph
  16. sm is the granny tranny correct?
  17. with some fire wall and rad suppurt mods it could be done. you would have to beef up the frame sus. steering shocks, and the motor would be sticking out of the hood as its deeper. it would be cool
  18. you must have real crappy gas, my moms got a built 355 and she has 11:1 and runs pump 91
  19. header to 2 1/2'' cherry bomb or super 44 from edlebrock
  20. well an exhaust leak can also give you net torque and net horsepower gains also. it depends on where and how big. i would suggest if you need a new muffle for inspection drill 2 holes about 1/4" in the intake side of the muffler, as long as its behind the cab. (mild CO poisoning is terrible)
  21. are the Jeeb TB systems single tube or double tube?
