I never questioned it? Just know my wheels almost fell off and AAA told me the wrong lug nuts were the issue. I had just put the aluminum rims on and used the steel rims lug nuts. They were torque down so that shouldn’t have been the issue. I hope I’m right for the sake of this thread. Did a Google search and it’s not true

That’s actually pretty cool. Should keep some of that in my tool bag.

Make sure to put the correct o-ring when replacing the fuel pump. The one from Advanced had only one in the box instead of two and it was the wrong one. Fuel poured out 😳

Look what I found in the attic Jeep stash. Complete waggy header in excellent condition . I was going to use it on the dually project before I downsized and forgot all about it -> Hmmm - the blue matches the MJ color All kinds of Jeep stuff up here - like Xmas morning

The MJ and Cherokee are still untouched at the shop. I called and he is going out of town for the next 8 days , so I have to have something to work on. I started a build page for my Scrambler above. I forgot how simple these Jeeps are. Not a whole lot to do to it, but now I have some time to work on it.

I’ve been missing the CJ-8 emblem ever since I got the Scrambler. I bought a reproduction one has got to be over 15 years ago. Just found it going through my CJ parts box and immediately put it on ->

Is the HO throttle body worth being bored?

Have a tip for when you rebuild the 231. There are roller bearings that go around the internal shaft - you will know what I am talking about it when you see it. Use some axle grease to hold them in place when you go to reinstall the new ones. It makes the reassembly much easier

It looks like it could be a while before I get the MJ back, so I need something to work on . This will keep me busy for a while. The fender flares were really shot. The back ones were crumbling apart, so they needed to be replaced -> Pulled them off and found no rust -> Ordered a complete set (front and rear) from Quadratec. Looks a lot better without the electrical tape holding them together ->

After I got the jeep home, I ordered a Rubicon Express lift (I think it was the 4.5" lift kit). Set it up on jack stands and started to take it apart for the new lift (the campaign sticker points to how long ago the lift was put on ) -> Removed the old shocks and leaf springs -> Then put the new springs and shocks in -> Then moved on to the rear -> Got the 35x14.50 Micky Thompson Baja Belted tires on (I wish they still made these - loved them) -> And completed the lift ->
