I even had another one at one point. But this one i couldn't let go. I've built so many Comanches, Driven and wheeled Moab, Done work around the Home and Ranch, Climbed some of my first hills in 4wd in these trucks. I was blessed to be given a Pioneer long bed and went to get it with my girlfriend at the time, who now is the mother of my 2 boys, And we will never sell that truck. And my Street Comanche will be built and handed down to my boys when i am old and grey. I love these trucks, they are attractive, rare, tough, and just work. Ill Be a hardcore Comanche enthusiast till i die. My business Off Grid Research is focused on highlighting a long forgotten special sector of Jeep history. The Archer Brothers SCCA dominance in the Manufacturers truck series, Leading to the creation of the 100 Street Comanches. Now people can build their own Street Jeeps again. Cheers. TurboedMJ
That's awesome. Is it my imagination or is the drivers side front fender flare notched a little bit?

pizzaman09
Just love it. An awesome, low Comanche with an epic wrap. Not for my current one but this one makes the wheels turn for if I want to build one someday.

The adapter plate to an AX-15 transmission already exists for those engines.

TurboedMJ
How challenging would it be to adapt a tr6060 to a 4.0? I've never looked into it before but the fact stands that a double overdrive turbo 4.0 Comanche would be badass. And a built 6060 isn't relatively expensive. I have a 392 hemi and a Lt1 C7 Corvette motor too, hard not to go crazy. I am probably going to build second really fast comanche soon.

Personally I want something rev happy and naturally aspirated. It would be a hit in low end torque compared to the 4.0L but that can be made up with rear end gearing. Also, my 4x4, 4.0L short bed MJ weights 3400lbs, which is within 100lbs of my 99 BMW e36 M3. That says the power to weight ratio of said swap is likely to create a wonderful result.
