thoughts on this version of the Cruiser54 sticker?

namely should I have the name attached?  technically he painted a camo pattern on this truck, but it is quite complicated and I can't replicate it. similar with the color-matched flares, though I'm still working on that.

I like the name attached as to who in memoriam it is for. Which means hornbrods might need to be altered if you want to keep consistency. 
 

I wonder if doing outlines of the flares to allow for color matching will help.

The pinstripes going across the door panel gaps is a little odd.

I wonder about a little “in memorium” or something, “may he rest in peace” attached to his name. Or a birth year to 2024? Just something to acknowledge his passing.

I like it just the way you have it in the first photo.  The black flare contrast looks good and the 'Pete (Cruiser 54)' gives his real name and his handle, which I like as well.  It's more about the tribute and not necessarily the accuracy of the details.

Those aren't pinstripes. Those are bands of a lighter tone of the same color, to indicate the steps in the body panels. Look again at the actual photo.

I like the text on the bed.  Tasteful and looks more natural on there instead of the free-floating text that's not on the truck. 

 

Regardless, I'd be thrilled with whatever the end result is.  You're doing good work putting this together.  Thank you for taking the lead and working on this, Pete.

Agreed.  The lines across the gap look very amateurish.  Darken the lines so they are less predominant and gap them where the gap is.

Agreed.  It looks like it belongs there.

 

My suggestion is:  "Pete", written in script and centered on the large panel on the door.  Cruiser54 centered over the rear wheel well (instead of near the cab.) No parenthesis needed.

 

Thanks for doing all this.  It is the man and his good deeds benefiting the CC we are honoring; not the truck.

I think the name should go under the cab somewhere (in the white space), the design is more balanced that way. Also he had his name all lower case (cruiser54)

Could put Pete right below the side mirror. Then CRUISER on the upper middle of the door with a larger or large 54 underneathe that. Sort of giving it a racers vibe.

If you put it on the truck then to me it becomes about some designation apropos to the truck.  Especially if it's just cruiser54. Pete at least implies some reference to a person.  Future members unfamiliar with his contribution may well see Herby the Love Bug, not that I have anything against Herby.  There's the truck and then there's the man!  I'll stick with photo #1.
