NKCrider Posted June 7, 2021 Posted June 7, 2021 NOT original to the truck, but my great-grandfather owned this dealership (1950-88). They sold AMC along with Jeep, Ford, Edsel, Lincoln, & Mercury through the years. Lucky enough to have one of his old dealer badges.

Monte721 Posted June 10, 2021 Posted June 10, 2021 Looks like it may have said Colma which was a Jeep dealer in the bay area but all records I have show it has been registered in San Diego County its entire life. Could be some other dealer that I am unable to find though.
fiatslug87 Posted June 10, 2021 Posted June 10, 2021 @Monte721 post your VIN in the registry and the guys will get you a build sheet and selling dealer info.

Pete M Posted June 18, 2021 Author Posted June 18, 2021 I forgot to mention that Akins still exists and still sells Jeeps. though they also sell Fords and chryslers. There's an S missing though as the town is Athens. it's where we take our vehicles when I need a dealership's special (expensive) touch. (or near-free in the case of the Durango and its forever warranty ) and yes, this is on one of my tailgates.
