The oil leak from the head gasket is getting the better of me.:brickwall:  I started with the idea I would just change the head gasket and be done.  Well I have now decided I might as well change out the seeping radiator.  If I'm into it that far I might as well change the hoses and water pump too.  And while the system is drained maybe a heater core.  I do need to put a new heater box in to replace the cracked drafty one, guess a new blower motor is in order.  Oh and since I'll have the ac open changing the box I might as well change on all the seals in the system and replace the broken line.  I am missing a couple of intake bolts and have an exhaust leak that I might as well take care of with a much needed new exhaust..... :holdwrench::holdwrench::holdwrench::holdwrench::holdwrench::holdwrench:

So here I sit.  Collecting parts.  Any suggestions on where to find my needed intake bolts, more especially the washers.  And I need to find the ac line from the bottom of the drier to the condenser.  I am assuming (yes i know) that those parts are going to be sourced used but haven't really searched for them.

Sounds like we are in the same boat. Jegs has everything you need. Rock auto has most if it. Amazon does too but good luck finding it. The parts stores have most of it as well but require ordering. I've got parts from all.

Personally I would go with grade 5 for most everything. That way when they snap off its easier to drill and tap them out. . .

This would work too.

JEGS and some of the on-line speed shops will have those conical manifold washers.

I would recommend using studs with nuts in place of the bolts in as many locations as possible.   (Particularly on the bottom row of bolts.)

When I did mine I bought them all from the dealership. They aren't cheap but it was way easier for me since I work there.

Don’t you just love that? Sometimes we’re more paying for the Mopar/Chrysler name than the part.

Factory will always be factory and fire a few bucks more and the convenience of knowing it right it's worth it.

I always buy the dorman bolt kit when I do manifold stuff. It’s like $8 on Amazon I think. Dorman 03408B. I have tons of those semi circle washers from various 4.0s I’ve disassembled and would be willing to part with some if anyone needs some. They’re used, but still solid.

I bought a full set of 4.0 stainless fasteners from totally stainless. It’s the second kit I bought from them and it’s all super high grade stuff. The intake/exhaust bolts are arp stainless and have 3/8 socket heads which are super easy to get at

We call it "shop glitter"

Bolts are easy to source but what about the fancy washers.

Search for "bellville washers" aka conical washers.  They are kind of important in that application.  They help spread the clamping force of the bolt head across the manifold.  I've used a small stack of regular flat washers in a pinch before when a bellville went missing.  They worked, but weren't really right.
