89 MJ
I am starting to get a parts list for things that I will be ordering when I do my engine swap in my Comanche. Right now, my Comanche is terribly slow (12+ seconds to 60). I am not looking for V8 power levels, but I am looking for some little parts that can help boost my power a little bit. One thing I am considering is some performance fuel injectors? What ones do you all recommend? Are there any other little power adders that you recommend (not talking about forced induction, V8s, or strokers)

Pete M
far as I know there is no brand for the renix. only custom bored ones (and the guy that was doing it here on CC no longer does). there are a lot of reasons why you should fully convert to the HO stuff. availability of upgrades is big one. JMO413
4 Hole injectors and a bored throttle body. I have both in mine and have never timed to 60 MPH but I know it s not that long. Mine will hit close to 60 coming off an on ramp.
fiatslug87
As an option you can try contacting MeanLemons, he was selling his boreing jig, someone may have bought it.

rokinn
Go to MeanLemons last post the Vendor section for his throttle bodies. He sold it to Skankfoot or something like that. Info is there.
omega_rugal
some say removing the crush in the exhaust pipe helps a little which makes me question: is it worth it to replace the OEM 6-1 exhaust to with a custom 3+3 -> 2 -> 1 exhaust?

I guess technically I did this also. I replaced my exhaust manifold with a HO version and used the HO down pipe that doesn't have the crushed spot. But with a side note of it was just a part of fixing multiple issues. I also replaced the whole exhaust. Cheap stainless exhaust manifold, Walker down pipe, added a piece of flex pipe, Thrush muffler,& Walker tail pipe. The manifold was also replaced because it was cracked and one of the students was broke. With all that who really knows if the pipe made a difference? Thanks for making me feel my age. I'm old enough to remember the days when a zero to 60 time of 10 seconds flat was considered to be FAST! That was once sort of the automotive equivalent of a 4-minute mile.

ghetdjc320
I don’t know how far you want to go with bolt-ons but stand alone efi is really a good way to make sure your mods actually add anything. My 4.0 has an Edelbrock aluminum head, bored .060, shaved deck, mild cam, roller rockers, 99+ intake, JBA TJ down pipe, 24# injectors and many other bolt ons but my biggest “power adder” was my 4.56 gears and Detroit truetrac out back. Stand alone efi is my next plan after hydroboost brakes.
