Worth saving?

Found a 86 2.5 about 3miles from my place.  The good.  It has 4wd and it has tail lights. The bad.  Looks like it may have forgot which way was up in its life.  Dented roof,  drip rails rusted off, bed dented in,  someone tried to take out the windshield, no serp belt, alternator bracket was picked, and all four tires are dry rotted.  Even if i just get it for parts not sure on a good offer for it.  Either that or it goes to the crusher this week

Floorboards exist.  Both doors and rockers are peeling back paint but not eaten through...yet

Consider what a pair of taillights alone sells for. Of course it's worth getting, if you have a place to put it while you pick it apart. Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to see tham all saved, that one sounds like it might be too far gone, but ... they don't make MJ body parts any more.

 

I'd offer $100 for starters.

He would probably take it lol.  I knew the owner before him and it was a daily driver rig.  I guess about six years ago this guy bought it and put it out to pasture, literally.  Been sitting out in his pasture for six years with the cows -_-'

Not nearly as bad as I envisioned from your description. That roof dent can be hammered out so nobody would ever know it was there. Takes time and patience, but nothing more than a light body hammer. Offer him $100, see what you can settle on. It's worth saving.

I should have taken pictures while i was out there.  That was the good side lol.  Side note,  finally figured out where my damn jeep obsession came from.  Proof kevin bacon has been in everything.  Even a jeep gladiator.  Love tremors.  But gonna hit the guy up tomorrow and make a offer

Nope not factory, looks good though.  Well if i pick it up this week expect either a parts sale or me getting yelled at for buying a fourth jeep.  Was going to try today but damn break in at work had me fortifying defenses all day.  Damn thieves had to ruin my day off.  Also theyre idiots.  Got 10.00 worth of pennies.
