big66440 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017   sweet and simple, just the way I like em.
Strokermjcomanche Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 That's has went through Barrett Jackson before , sold for 12 k . Owned by James Coudright
HOrnbrod Posted April 7, 2017 Author Posted April 7, 2017 I thought the same........ It's 2WD and still has the fat rubber-sheathed 2WD driveshaft also.
schardein Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 You can tell because it doesn't have the 4x4 emblems ;) or the Comanche emblems :shake:
big66440 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 I'd be interested in finding out where they got the rubber floor, it looks way better than the crap one I bought from ACC.
Minuit Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 I sees a D35. And an AMC DNR radio. And that bumper looks like it's seen some action and was then repaired. Why are these Barrett-Jackson trucks always built like this? "restored" is such a cheap word these days. What they really mean is "molested to my taste, probably not properly, then painted, probably cheaply"
WyoCherokee Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 over inflated tires, tailgate gaps are off, headlights are crooked. 2wd, bent rear bumper, note the control arm angle....will ride like a peterbilt.....why the H**L is this thing even on barret jackson?
schardein Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Just curious-- were tailgate handles ever painted the body color from the factory? I'm thinking they were only black or chrome.

johnj92131 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 over inflated tires, tailgate gaps are off, headlights are crooked. 2wd, bent rear bumper, note the control arm angle....will ride like a peterbilt.....why the H**L is this thing even on barret jackson? Because Barret-Jackson is in the business of "turning over" special interest vehicles. That is how Barret-Jackson makes their money! The high end sales attract a lot of middle and lower end sellers. Buyers come because we all "think" there may be some good/special value in all the weeds that we can just fix up a little and have a gem. Maybe the seller will get his money - maybe not.
fiatslug87 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 This is the only MJ I've ever seen cross the Barrett Jackson block: 90 4.0L 2WD $10,500. Edit: trying to link video, stay tuned.
HOrnbrod Posted April 8, 2017 Author Posted April 8, 2017 Thanks Mike - I missed that one. Surprising it went for $10.5K.
fiatslug87 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Don are you able to see the video in my link? I'm trying to load it to YouTube to link it.
HOrnbrod Posted April 8, 2017 Author Posted April 8, 2017 Yes, saw it all. Even on my craptastically slow ADSL connection after it loaded. Audio was real weak, but it was watchable.
fiatslug87 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Thanks, when I try to view it through the message link I can't see it because photobucket links it in flash format and my apple device will not run flash.
cruiser54 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I think www.bringatrailer.com might be a better option. I'm seriously considering putting my white 90 MJ on there.
HOrnbrod Posted April 8, 2017 Author Posted April 8, 2017 The MJ was Lot #621 scheduled on the docket for today, and they started the broadcast with vehicle Lot #623. So I guess the MJ wasn't worthy enough to televise. Bastids........... EDIT: Searched Palm Beach Event Results; the MJ sold for $10,450.00. http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1989-JEEP-COMANCHE-CUSTOM-PICKUP-207031
fiatslug87 Posted April 9, 2017 Posted April 9, 2017 10 and a half must be going rate, no increase in value in four years.
