The bottom of the bumper is 6.75 below the bottom of the tail gate, but there is a lip on bottom where the ball mount is that is about another .5” lower. Pete M Posted October 12, 2018 Share Posted October 12, 2018 it appears to me you have an aftermarket bumper with generic adapters that lowered it down a bit more than normal. pics of the attachment points between the bumper and frame brackets should answer what's going on. Sharp corner on the top which most round off on the top pictures of the mounting brackets which only have the 3 specific holes the mounting bolts are run through, and welded directly to the bumper. JMO413 Posted February 5, 2019 Share Posted February 5, 2019 This hitch is awesome! Great quality work! Very heavy duty. Shipped quick. He takes packaging serious. I got it powder coated matt black. Got the two leaf spring bolts started first. Started two bolts on the passenger side. Trimmed the Fey brackets to get them to fit with the hitch. Bumper brackets are a tight fit. Fits good. Overall amazing hitch. Did require washers between the hitch and frame on the spring bolts. Pretty sure this is beacuse of the Fey brackets. Jeep hitch plug to finish it off. Got in a hurry before a show and built a hitch "wrong" The reciever tube is backwards which means the hole your pin goes thru is further back than it should be. Could be an issue with some balls, some it won't be. So you may have to line up your ball in the reciever and drill a 2nd pin hole thru it to use with this. Instead of cutting it apart or drilling a new hole, I'm gonna let it go for 25% off. I'll even include a new drill bit so you can drill it quickly and smoothly. So its discounted to $140+ shipping. OR if someone wants to come pick it up locally, I'll let it go for $130...
