Given the opportunity to choose between a

1989 chief red with 4.0, 4x4, AX-15 full console and black interior bucket seats, roll bar and fog lights 6 ft bed. $3500.00

Or

1992 eliminator black, 4.0, auto, 2x4, bucket seats, full center console, 58k miles, new battery, tires, thermostat, and tune up, 6 ft bed. $2500.00

Both trucks are in fabulous condition no major dents or ding. I really want another 5sp/4x4 but the low mileage eliminator is very tempting. Can I consievebly do the 4x4 swap for under 1k?

It will be my Dailey driver to get a little better mileage than my orange 06 LWB Rubicon on 33's (45000 miles). I wish the 92 was a 4x4, 5spd manual Eliminator. I'd love to have two lasts of an era in my driveway.

Since I already have more than enough automatic vehicles (1) I would take the 89 assuming it ran well. An SWB roll bar if it's original is quite rare but I would try to negotiate the price down to at the very most $2750 or so keeping in mind that the value of MJs seems to be going up a lot recently but I wish I could make decisions like these. Assuming there's no problems you can't go wrong. Where are you located? All I see for sale recently around here are automatic 86s and badly lifted Renix trucks.

Both trucks are in amazing condition and the asking price for the 89 was 4500 now 3800 so getting them down to 2750 would probably just insult the guy. The 92's asking price is started at 3200 and is at 3000 right now.

92 all the way, cheaper, more rare, new tires, low miles, if that thing is a column shifter then that's just the icing on the cake!

The '92. A 4x4 swap is easy, but even the 2WD rigs are very capable. I prefer autos, plus it's a '92 Eliminator. Really should have kept my '91 Eliminator, but oh well. With premium, low ethanol fuel, my '91 got really good highway mileage (above 20). What I'd give to live in a state where I could get my hands on a '91 or '92 Eliminator in decent shape.

Well that was my way of thinking aswell. I'll be using it to drive my wife and daughters junk from TX to VA so the lower mileage and new parts gives me more of a warm and fuzzy. Its cheaper to buy the Comanche and rent a uhaul trailer that to rent the uhaul van.

Wow. Really?! That's crazy.

If it's rust free and straight I'd take the 92 over the other even if it had 200k on it.

I'm on my 4th HO that has made it to 300k with no engine trouble whatsoever.

With the 92 all the 4x4 stuff from 92 to 01 to 06 (TJ) will bolt up.
