Comanche = More popular than a Ferrari

I had my truck at the shop today getting the AC charged. The shop is at a busy intersection near uptown across from a community college, so there are a lot of people driving and walking by. The manager told me he had two Ferraris on his lot today and my Comanche got more attention than either of them. In fact, the last time it was there, people came off the street and asked who's truck it was.

That made me feel pretty good and I just felt like sharing. :D

Yup, exotic and expensive cars do not impress me. But Jeeps and exotic and expensive women do.

My mind is dead today. There has got to be at least a dozen snappy come backs to that sentence and I can't think of a one. At least one that can be printed here. :D

I wouldn't turn down a Ferrari, but they are the same to me. The part that I will not drive my Comanche or the Ferrari when the snow flies!

Do some research on the FF... AWD V12. Ferrari has courses in snow/ice in Italy during the winter with a fleet of the cars. And yes, they're $300k+.

Regarding Ferraris, you have to pay to play- a 15k mile service will run you $5k-$15k which includes a timing belt and other necessary items. Depending upon model the engine will have to be removed, usually the pre-F355 models. $1k oil changes are not out of the norm for any model, whether its 40 years or 4 months old.

Now regarding the original statement of a Comanche being more popular than a Ferrari [any model], even a Mondial or 412 would garner more attention pretty much anywhere in the world should the two be presented side by side. Ferrari isn't the most desired auto brand in the world for no reason. Remember, they're both [Ferrari, Chrysler (and Jeep)] are now owned by the same parent company, Fiat.

You do have an excellent MJ, no doubt about that. And the shop manager sounds like he has excellent PR-101 skills too.
