That incident was so prevalent in the day, it is hard for me to imagine what kind of idiot would think ripping off 4X4 folks would not yield harsh consequences. :hmm:

Oh man remember the Charlie Wenzell thread on pirate? :rotf: This will not end well for Danny-Boy.

RIP, I knew his health must not have been great when he sold off a big part of his Jeep Collection recently.

Glad you are OK Rob, and I hope you get all you deserve. Many years ago I had a totaled classic Datsun 510 and will never forget the haggling. My mistake was concentrating on the vehicle rather than my well being. The achilles heel of an insurance settlement is always ones health. If they have to pay a large settlement to make you right certainly a small amount from that settlement can make your Jeep right.

Order placed March 24, delivered exactly as ordered March 31 Verdict: They still seem to be a good company to me, I will order from them gain.

Hunter Green Metallic '92 Eliminator On Cl In Md
jeepdoggydogB replied to Automan2164's topic in The Pub
Was said in response to the last of the MJ's being able to be ordered/equipped with whatever the hell you damn well please remark.............. the D44 and power window/locks options weren't available after '91 into '92. Please don't spread misinformation. The D44 was still available after '90, and I am almost positive that so were P/W / P/L's... A quick check of my '92 Jeep dealer podium shows the D44 / Metric Ton package. We've seen H.O. models with and D44's. Even shortbed D44's with the offroad package or just because. I couldn't dig deep enough to find the P/W / P/L's, but I am almost positive. Might have been a goofy dealer add-on, or something they didn't promote because of cost, but may have been available on an order sheet. Very nice camera Mike, I think MP matters mostly to folks that use software editors like Aperture. I can do amazing things with bad photos taken with high MP cameras.

For Smartphones it is tough to brat the Nokia Pureview on its camera merits with 41 MP. For a digital camera the olympus XZ2 is tough to beat at $299. http://www.cnet.com/videos/nokia-808-pureview-with-41-mp-camera/ http://www.cnet.com/products/olympus-stylus-xz-2-black/ At $700 for the Nokia, I have the Olympus and my old iPhone 4.

Folks, I just ordered from TeamCherokee, I have been doing business with them for the last 10 years. I know others have had some recently bad experiences with them so I will update the group on how this transaction worked out. Sorry for the "holy old thread resurrection" but I did not want to flood this site with yet another thread that is related to so many others.

I have been so impressed with all the trucks coming out of GM, Ford and Dodge. As much as I love my Comanche it is no longer reliable enough to depend on as a daily driver. After 23 years as a daily driver we have decided to retire it, and it is now a full time project truck. My wife and I looked at many trucks to replace our beloved Comanche as a DD, and the first runner up was the Dodge 2014 Ram 1500 Diesel, but at a $55,000 price tag we could not buy the Dodge and keep our beloved Comanche. From our research as great a trucks that GM, Ford, and Dodge are offering, the $55,000 price tag for what we wanted was a number that kept coming up. We decided on a 2014 Nissan Crew Cab 4X4 with the value truck package and drove it off the lot for $31,000. We toyed with the Pro 4X, but considering we were able to keep the MJ if we could avoid the $37,000 Pro $x price tag when will Jeep finally get it an offer another truck in the $30,000 price range? The AEV and other kit trucks are hitting the $50,000 plus price tag just to get an after market Jeep pickup.

Still very respectable standings I am proud of Team USA. The Hockey rivalry between Finland and Sweden is a legendary blood feud they had a lot of pent up animosity from their loss to Sweden so I am not shocked at their victory over Team USA. So onto the next match Go Canada, and knock the chip off of Sweden's shoulder!
-
I have been ordering from them since 2006 with no issues except what Don mentioned about their prices. I have spent almost $2,000 with them.
-
LOL! All in all very respectable standings at the end of the day. http://www.sbnation.com/2014/2/21/5433732/2014-winter-olympics-medal-count

LOL! With 3 days left I think Team USA has done quite well especially for the Winter competition. http://fansided.com/2014/02/20/2014-sochi-olympics-medal-count-standings-day-13/

Hello Jim, These folks might be able to steer in the right direction. http://www.bjsoffroad.com/ProdList.asp?scat=20 I found these guys when I was considering buying a J20 a few years back.

Don't know what that means Joe. :hmm: Anyhow, it's a busted cam. They said it's pretty common with these engines if the oil isn't changed regularly. So I had to jump through hoops getting receipts for every oil change and filter change we did since I bought it for her. So Suzuki is now satisfied. They don't even rebuild the engines anymore since Suzukis are no longer sold in the USA. They simply swap in a new short block. Only problem is that it will take 2-4 weeks, and the loaner car is only for a week. And GEICO Rental Car Reimbursement only covers rentals for an accident, not a mechanical failure. So Mama will be carting her around for awhile, because she sure isn't getting near my MJ. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triskaidekaphobia LOL! Just pointing out the duality of the number 13. To many it is not looked upon as lucky. It was lucky for you and very unlucky for the dealer. With that said you dodged a major bullet!
-
Wow Don! I wouldnt write off lucky 13 quite so quick yet.

Outstanding work Alexia! Much deserved award, and thank you for an excellent example of creating a Comanche that is a great balance of stock and upgrades. -
H4 Conversion... Ipf, Hella, Cibie?
jeepdoggydogB replied to Automan2164's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Hello Rob, I used the old Bigoffroad harness with the IPF lenses, and fatboy bulbs with marginal success. The IPF bulbs burned out within 18 months, and Bigoffroad harness needed dielectric grease constantly or it consistently blew expensive fuses. After six years with the above setup I am back to stock with an IPF harness, Hella lenses (DOT approved), and Hella bulbs ready to be installed. Keep in mind that the IPF lenses are not DOT approved which helped me make my decision here in over-regulated California. Don (Hornbrod) has extensive knowledge of the Hella setup. -

I just had a Facebook friend share pictures of my childhood neighborhood and schools at the long closed Subic Bay Naval Base. The Jungle has retaken the old school where so many wonderful memories took place in the 70's. When nature (God) takes back what does not belong to us we all are reminded of the reality of mortality. Some of the people that made the memories with me are gone, but I am convinced and resolute to the belief that the memories like this will never be erased, even when our bodies are reduced to corruption like my old school and some friends I believe all those moments are forever etched in the annals of the book we co-author with God. Your respect and devotion to your friend are proof. Gob Bless my friend!
