The last set sold for $560 with $35 shipping. A month ago. I figure $500 will make both me and the purchaser happy. More to life than money, although it really comes in handy sometimes

Sheesh!!! I've bought complete running MJ'S with perfect tail lights for less than that. Talk about the fever. :shake:

Northeast - Everything is rusted and broken.

Southeast - No rust, but lots of sun damage.

Everything west - Apparently a gold mine of vehicles that can sit untouched for years in the burning sun and have no issues.

On the contrary, it does fade the paint. But it's a lot easier to sand and paint than to remove, patch rust, then paint.

Unfortunately out in California after 1989 there were not a lot of Comanche trucks shipped to dealers out here (I had been seriously in the market twice in 1987 and 1991, and there were many trucks on the dealers lots in 1987, but by 1990 almost no Comanches to be found). There are a few of us Comanche lovers here in the Bay Area and believe me between almost all of us we seem to own the most Comanche stuff and decent trucks to be had. Our King of San Francisco Bay Area Comanche truck ownership is none other than Mike (Fiatslug).

The local junk yard has exactly one MJ in the last year. Surprisingly the only good usable parts were the tail lights.(I bought them.) Still the plastic is brittle and not worth attempting to buff shiny since it will probably break.

I've bought whole MJ's for $125... that said... Some of you weren't here for the great tail light famine of '10. Times were tough.

Wade (89Eliminator) sold a set of used lights in good shape on eBay, got $350 plus international shipping to a dude in England who was hurting for some.

I wished I had plowed the way with that one... Because shortly after, everybody and their momma jumped in and tried selling them... Netting most $50 towards the end.

SUPPLY AND DEMAND. The basic principal of business.

The cheapest MJ i ever bought was my first one, and the one that got me started in this. It was a 1989 Pioneer for $100. Grill was missing. It took me 4 hours to get it running, bad gas and dirty fuel system. According to the plates, it had been sitting in the woods for over 8 years and by the amount of crap on it and rodent nests in it, it was.

I make a lot of things, and I'm not even quite sure on how I would go about something like that. Plexiglass?
