Not true. Had a friend get busted like that in a private parking lot. Got a ticket for "Performance Driving"... it was like a 4 point ticket!

Technically its not mcdies parking lot, theres a public access behind mcdies and its like a half an acre of paved parking lot....nolights no poles completley open. Iunderstand cops r just doin there job, but its not like i wasor had much potential tohurt anyone or anything....o well they can't camp there all winter lol

Not a damn thing... it hasn't moved in over a week since I pushed it out of my driveway and into the street (cause it wouldn't start)... I might try to start it tomorrow (it has no interior again) and I need to finish bolting the Roll bar in (which is just basically sitting there with the bolts in, but no nuts on the underside.

 

I leave for Colorado for a week on Sunday, so I don't expect anything to happen for another week or so.

proly depends on where... cop told me, said as long as management isnt out there flagn him down he can't do squat.... after stopping me and running license, insurance, registration...

 

i made sure to spin a few in front of him before leaving.

Ordered a new cat convertor gasket to allow me to "modify" my cat convertor for better flow. ;) I also ordered a flowmaster 50 series muffler to replace mine with the azz end falling out of it. I hope the flowmaster 50 isnt too loud. Supposed to be quieter than the 40 series, and hopefully quieter than a turbo muffler. Ill add to my build thread when the time comes for install.

Drove it to work this morning, going no faster than 25mph (DW) and used a $20 piece of 1/4" wall by 2" by 3" angle iron (stuff is $0.40 per INCH!!!) to make a hookup for my tow bar. Good thing work is only 3.5 miles from home.

 

Now tomorrow I can tow it to work with the XJ and leave it there while I spend a few (lot?) of evenings completely tearing down the front suspension and steering as well as inspecting all the attachment points and frame around those to try to track down the current cause of DW. It went from fine to just barely noticed something being off to full on DW at 25mpg or faster with the right bump over the course of three days. This time I have no clue what the cause is. Only obvious thing was a bad balljoint, but replacing it did not solve it. Tie rod ends were pretty bad, so I replaced the entire steering setup from pitman arm to knuckles, upgrading to the beefier V8 ZJ tie rod in the process. Still no change.

 

I want to go wheeling, so I need to get the %^&^&*( back on the road.
