Last night I drove it down the road for the first time, and even though it was for only like 3 minutes it felt amazing! :clapping:

Today I will be getting some of the interior put back in, will get the passenger seat put together and bolted down etc. little things to get it running around town.

Well in the last 2 days i have done a lot. I fixed some wiring issues in the dash. Installed my extended brake line installed (front and rear), freeze plugs and pistons installed, crankshaft and camshaft installed. I got my drop pitman and recieved my msd computer box (can't wait to get those installed), then towed the manche from Casa Grande, AZ to Alpine, CA! What a trip!!! can't wait to start working on it again. Got a bunch of looks at the truck though makes you feel good inside!!!

The tranny slips bad, the P/O ran it very low on fluid for many miles and the Engine isnt the healthiest anymore. The interior is pretty ratty but most of it should be clanable and sellable if need be. The body is in great shape though. If it was just mine Id consider making it road worthy again but since i have 2 hungry friends that chompin at parts off of it and helped on the purchase, Its destined for donorville. umn.gif

Why did they deny you? Didn't you have the PO apply for a lost title, and then try to transfer it?

No not about previous owner, they don't care about it and said there no records on it. I told them about car fax. But who care, I give up. It's been two years now. Time to get rid of mj. I'm might get other vette.

You give up and get frustrated too easily. You need the last registered owner (the name and addy I got for you) to fill out the paperwork for a lost title. Explain the situation again. You know he has no paperwork, he gave it to you, and you lost it. Explain the only way you can register it is with his help. Tell him you would offer to pay for the paperwork (of course), and maybe a little something for the trouble. Then when he gets the new title, pick it up, sign it, and take it to the IL DMV. It will be like you just bought it all over again, and will go through smooth as butter.

Easy peasy Japanesy.

Changed oil & filter. Replaced BOTH burned out windshield washer pumps on the inside fender well washer tank. The el-cheapo ANCO pumps from Rock Auto lasted only a little over a year. :fs1: Used NOS originals this time. It just doesn't make good economical sense to buy cheap parts.
