Finally found one...Now it has a new floor.

Another successful day at the salvage yard. She got new seat covers and door panels. I love these panels. They are my favorite. Here are some shots with the old driver seat still in. I am waiting on the other cover to dry after laundering. Also picked up some cruise parts I was needing. All I need to finish that is a lower Speedo cable. Oh and I snatched a roof rack from an 88xj with the sliding tie downs........ -
I'm pretty sure Cadillac died this well into the 90's. I always thought it was a cool feature but never knew it was fiber optic.

another connector question......
watchamakalit replied to watchamakalit's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well thats good to know. I'll resolder and heat shrink it. As far as the fan, I don't know if it runs with the ac on or not. The ac has no charge in it so I don't currently use it. I'll have to check on the fan tomorrow. -
another connector question......

I do have factory ac. And I don't think ive ever heard my electric fan come on. Lol -
This sounds correct as I recall. The 91-92 was also different from the previous 2. I had this same discussion with Don when I was searching for a clock for mine. But thats been a while ago.

I still have my ballast resistor so I know that's not it. Yes I have a cooling fan relay still intact. -

Bump. Any other thoughts? Wondering about the red wire splice also. -

Ok you guys know the drill.... What is this one for? And what has happened here with the red wire? P.O. work or is this a factory solder joint? It was only wrapped with electrical tape so I have a feeling it is PO. My truck does have old brackets on the front bumper for what I assume were driving lights. I have yet to find any evidence where someone wired them in. Did I just find the remains? My truck did not have factory fog lights. Forgot the pic.

Sounds to me like you have a later model truck with headrests in the seat. If I recall correctly headrests werent offered until 90 model yr. Someone will come along that can help better. I installed core 4x4 adjustable arms to go with the lift today.

The new core 4x4 tier 1 control arms are in and adjusted. 7.5 degrees of caster put my driveline in beautiful shape, drives great and rides better. Plus I gained a little ride height in the front, due to the lca's no longer hitting the shock mounts. -

With the install of the lift to my truck I have noticed that I tend to lean on the side of the seat entering and exiting. I know what this will eventually do to a seat and wish to prevent as much future damage as possible. Also my 5' 3" wife has a difficult time entering. So I am looking at entry step options. My truck will likely never see more than the occasional very mild trail driving. So rocker protection isn't my priority, but I do like the look and think they would compliment the truck well. I have considered building my own set but am curious to see what is out there and what everyone has/recomends. I don't want a running board look from an 80s van, I would prefer something that will blend in with the mild wheeler look I am building towards. So that said whatcha got?

watchamakalit replied to 90BlackMJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I didn't take a pic. and my emblem is not currently attached. But my 88 had the emblem in this location originally. -

Looks like I need to shop for control arms. My lower wj arms are contacting the shock mount. I am assuming the caster for the front axle is off. -

Uploading to cc. It might be my phone camera. It has a wide view lense that sometimes distorts pictures. I have only pulled it on the road once so far, returning home from the maiden voyage. My buddy pulled it to the campground since I was still waiting on shocks to arrive. The manche really handles it well. Vision around it is a different story. It is wider than the MJ negating the effectiveness of side mirrors and the AC unit on top blocks my inside mirror. Guess I'll begin the hunt for a set of factory tow mirrors and an additional backup cam for rearview. We are loving the camper so far. We have done alot of backyard camping already and a trip to the campgrounds last week. I think by the end of summer we will be fearless nomads roaming the country side with the mj and the Chuck wagon (thats the campers name). I also managed to get my backup lights working. Had to make some custom wiring to connect my ax15 trans to the auto harness. My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
