  1. Thats not far from me...... My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  2. I hope your documenting the process. I Would be interested to see how it goes. My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  3. Has anyone made and attempt at replacing that rusted out support with some sort of rectangle tube?
  4. With the install of the lift to my truck I have noticed that I tend to lean on the side of the seat entering and exiting. I know what this will eventually do to a seat and wish to prevent as much future damage as possible. Also my 5' 3" wife has a difficult time entering. So I am looking at entry step options. My truck will likely never see more than the occasional very mild trail driving. So rocker protection isn't my priority, but I do like the look and think they would compliment the truck well. I have considered building my own set but am curious to see what is out there and what everyone has/recomends. I don't want a running board look from an 80s van, I would prefer something that will blend in with the mild wheeler look I am building towards. So that said whatcha got?
  5. I didn't take a pic. and my emblem is not currently attached. But my 88 had the emblem in this location originally.
  6. Looks like I need to shop for control arms. My lower wj arms are contacting the shock mount. I am assuming the caster for the front axle is off.
  7. Redo on the pics uploaded straight from my pc after transfer off the phone. Seems like an issue with tapatalk. Go figure.....
  8. i have a 97 magna thatcan consistently run 45-50mpg, if the rider has an easy throttle hand. But what fun is that.....
  9. I doubt that. Tapatalk never has problems. Lol Yeah that could be it. My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  10. Uploading to cc. It might be my phone camera. It has a wide view lense that sometimes distorts pictures. I have only pulled it on the road once so far, returning home from the maiden voyage. My buddy pulled it to the campground since I was still waiting on shocks to arrive. The manche really handles it well. Vision around it is a different story. It is wider than the MJ negating the effectiveness of side mirrors and the AC unit on top blocks my inside mirror. Guess I'll begin the hunt for a set of factory tow mirrors and an additional backup cam for rearview. We are loving the camper so far. We have done alot of backyard camping already and a trip to the campgrounds last week. I think by the end of summer we will be fearless nomads roaming the country side with the mj and the Chuck wagon (thats the campers name). 11. I also managed to get my backup lights working. Had to make some custom wiring to connect my ax15 trans to the auto harness. My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  12. Shocks are on and we took the (new to us) popup on its maiden voyage outside the yard. Spent the weekend at a local campground. My pulled it great. Looking forward to longer and more adventures trips with our new little abode. 13. Welcome to the community. If you provide a few more details about the truck you will possible gain more interest. Also after 10 posts the classified section will be made available there and you could list your truck for sale.

  17. well count mine out of this. I am waiting on new shocks so currently not on the road....lol
  18. For the love of all that is MJ Please don't do that to a Jeep. I am not a motor oil expert, but have been in alot of motors and I will never buy a quaker state, or pennzoil product. I have seen the internals of engines that were run on these oils almost exclusively since new, along with many other, and in my experience they were absolutely horrible with deposits in the oil system. I was told years ago that quaker state used to use parrafin in there oil to help quiet motors. Unfortunatly the heat cycles of the motor basically turn all the internal components into wicks at a candle dipping contest and covers them in wax. Again, I am not an expert and will never claim to be this is just based on information and experiences I have collected in my life. YMMV
  19. HAHAHAHA Don't try to figure out how you truck goes together after too many Peach Crown Sweet teas..... I looked at this post this morning and called my self a bunch of names. I know which way they mount, but apparently I didn't last night. lmao Don't worry there is no harm done. I knew I was in no state to wrench on the truck. Glad I didn't decide to put them on last night. The Springs were $440ish for the pair and the shackles were $32/ea. on amazon. I also bought new ubolts through General Spring.
  20. Crappy resto/repaint. Didnt have the brains to fix/finish it. My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  21. I have my springs and new ford f150 shackles. Problem is the ford shackles are a bit small fot the wrap. Do you guys think it would be on to notch the shackles for clearance? I have marked a shackle with a rough idea of what needs notched. Note: I would remove all the material inside the silver line. This is just a rough estimate. Haven't really measured yet. 22. Thanks alot, you know there are things that can't be unseen. And this is one for me. You just absolutely ruined these wheels for me. Way to go man. Lmao My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  23. Yes but just slightly. I re-read my post before and think I need to clarify I am running 2" COIL spacers. No wheel spacers. Turbine wheels with 31 general grabbers. My build: https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=https://comancheclub.com/topic/8033-finally-found-onenow-it-has-a-new-floor/&share_tid=8033&share_fid=53169&share_type=t
  24. I am running wj arms with 2" spacers. The only grinding I had to do was to the bushing width. I didn't do any additional grinding like pete did. I do get a little rub at full lock with my 31's but I know it happens and just don't turn it that tight. lol
